FORKING LOVE IT
For my rig, it is perfect, need it tight and clean. it is an adjustment to use, but all gravy! Seems sturdy enough!

Check your cajon depth first!
I bought this for a Meinl Sierra Birch Cajon, which is 15 in. deep. The pedal is solid, very well built, but was too long for my cajon! I estimate the minimum depth for your cajon is ~18 in. If your cajon fits, this would be an awesome addition to your gear.

too small for the big cajon
the bar is too small, can I buy a bigger bar?

One small mistake essentially ruins the whole design.
I can’t get it to stay locked In place long enough to finish a song. I own both of the direct drive cajon pedals and they both have the same ridiculous flaw. They clamp onto the cajon cradle using a clamp and a flat piece of metal with VELCRO on it in a weak attempt to increase traction. Normal drum pedals clamp around a metal lip on the rim of the bass drum, which easily locks it in to place without a need to even clamp too hard. If only there was a metal lip for the clamp to lock around I would absolutely love this pedal. I can already tell the clamp will fail in no time because I have to tighten it waaaay harder than it’s designed for. I’m returning this pedal but it’s too late for me to return the other. Soooo disappointed with this dumb design flaw.

A bit awkward.
I think this product was a good idea but the implementation for whatever reason doesn't seem to work very well for body proportions.... which is odd because I am fairly average at 6 ft, 170 lbs. Anyway your position it just seems kind of awkward. It works, but I suspect the other design with an actual kick pedal would be superior.

Adds a lot to my performance, make sure you adjust to your needs.
Was tough at first to get used to, but I bought a drum key ($3) and adjusted the pedal to how I wanted to play it and then it was much easier to use afterwards. I love playing this thing along with my cajon, they add so much presence to my performance! Also, the angled pedal gives you flexibility to use a high step or low step to activate the kick.

Size
Seemed very durable but didn't fit our cajun so had to return it. Return was very easy and credit was issued fast.

Solid build quality
I liked that this is a sturdy unit. The finish looks great. It was wide enough to accommodate my Pearl Cajon. My Cajon is about 12.5” to 13” deep.It is a chain drive. Solid like most meinl products. The angle of the beater is adjustable. The whole unit is adjustable as well -pressure/distance.The unit does slide a bit but perhaps that is to be expected playing on hardwood vs carpet. I’m sure a little rug can solve that issue.it does take some time to get use to the bar vs a pedal. But for the price and the build quality it’s not an issue for me.
