Perfect Retina Resolution Extended Display for Mac Computers
I purchased the portable monitor on October 13th and have used it for just over a month before an issue with the monitor screen appeared. I bought this to supplement my 27-inch Apple Studio Display. The 3K resolution was perfect for the Mac retina resolution as the 2880 x 1800 pixels are displayed as 900 x 1440 pixels with a 216 ppi vs. 218 ppi for the 27-inch Apple Studio Display. The display is sharp for both text and images. The color rendition was at par with my Studio Display when set to Display P3 color profile. Bonus is that you can have refresh rate as high as 120 Hz. The monitor is hooked up via a single USB-C cable to a Thunderbolt 4 dock USB-C socket (15W) for both data and power. I bought a separate VESA 75mm tabletop stand to mount the monitor and placed it next to the Studio Display. Set up looks better (and way cheaper) than buying a 32-inch 6K display (like ones from LG and of course, Apple). I mainly use the extended display for my Finder and for file navigation and management, with some widgets placed above the Finder. The first monitor I bought did have an issue with the screen having dark red large patches of pixelations at one corner. I contacted UPerfect directly since it was passed one month when I bought from Amazon. The customer service person responded very quickly and provided a UPS return postage to mail the monitor back. As soon as they received the defective monitor, a new one was sent via Amazon and received within 2 days. This new unit has been working fine with no issue with the screen, although I've only used this for a couple of weeks. Time will tell if I get the same issue or not. Overall I'm happy with the monitor (thin, light, retina resolution, easily powered by USB-C) and with customer service for quickly resolving the issue with the original unit. Highly recommended!

Bad to Good, New Unit Works Flawlessly.
EDIT/UPDATE: The UPERFECT team reached out to me wanting to check on my display. I had told them I had already returned the display to Amazon for a full refund. They asked if they could send me a replacement free of charge. I agreed to receiving a free replacement. They did ask me to take down my review, but I had told them I would edit the review based on the display they are sending and not remove it outright as I am not one for lying in my reviews. With that in mind, review 2.0 is added here on top of my old one.... So today is day 2 of using the Display. This time there is no overheating issue. I have made sure to keep checking the place where the USB-C ports are, for heat. Unlike my first model that I had paid for, this one only gets slightly warm not blazing hot. As in my original review, the model I had originally received would overheat and basically crash out. This one is working perfectly. I also noticed that this model has better color accuracy. I can't seem to find my color checking tool but I can tell its not as overblown as the first one was in terms of color reproduction. If I find the tool I will again update my review with the facts on that front.... The UPERFECT team did ask me to use THEIR cables "this time" in order to ensure functionality. So just to please them, I did. However after about 4 hours of use and having no issues, I switched to MY cables. Which means a USB-C cable for power which is rated for 140w of power transfer and a Club3d DP to USB-C Bi-Directional cable. Why? Because their included HDMI to Mini-HDMI is only capable of 100hz not the full 120hz. The HDMI port doesn't have the bandwidth to support the full 120hz by design, it is what it is. And being a gamer, you want as many hertz as possible. So, with that in mind, my cables are working as indented on this replacement monitor. Which is a good thing. One thing I can admit is the pixel sharpness. I love how 2880x1800 is on a 16" screen. In effect, that is about 212 pixels per inch give or take a little (quick math). Meanwhile a typical 27" 1440p OLED screen like my ASUS WOLED would be about 108 pixels per inch give or take. So this little screen is TWICE as sharp as those larger panels. Which is the reason I had originally ordered the display. Out of the box windows recognizes the size (via EDID?) as 16" and automatically sets the display up for 200% scaling so you can have text scaling comparable to a 1080p screen. HOWEVER, I am not one for large text. So I dropped that down to 100% scaling aka natural for about 6 hours yesterday. But after awhile I started getting tired having used the display for over 8 hours straight. And opted to increase scaling to 125% which seems to make the text just about where I am happy with in terms of size. The text is sharp and there i no text fringing. Thank god on that front, because my ASUS WOLED has HORRIFIC text fringing that is so blurry that I feel like im going blind trying to read text on it. Only downside of the WOLED displays on the market. Its also why I prefer the Samsung based QD-OLED displays. This panel in this? Its basically a Samsung tablet/laptop screen shoehorned into its own housing. Which isn't a bad thing. Overall with my second day of use now being nearly flawless. I respect UPERFECT for wanting to "make it right" as per their words. Many companies wouldn't give a crap but they do. Which I give them credit for. I am adjusting my review to 4/5 stars. Why not perfect 5? Well because I am an honest human being and again, my original order was a bad product. However, having received another, I can see why they wanted me to get a second chance, as the screen is pretty nice. So far I have only been playing MMORPG's like Anarchy Online and Survival games like Pax Dei along side some light Tower Defense via Isle of Arrows.... So I haven't been able to really test the input lag. However, just from playing Pax Dei, it does feel a bit better than the original one I had. Maybe because that unit was bad, the input lag also had an issue. Could be.... this one? it feels pretty darn good to me so far. I would say, as long as you dont ACCIDENTALLY receive a bad display like I did initially, you should be in for a treat. Looking at reviews it seems like I may have been one of one, meaning I don't think anyone else received a faulty display. And since my second display they sent to me for free is working, I have to rate it for the pure quality that its giving. Hence 4/5 stars! ----OLD REVIEW---- Ordered this for my setup. A 16" lightweight 2880x1800 @120hz was right up my alley. I grew up on 15" CRT displays and I prefer smaller displays. This little guy seemed to fit the bill.... Starting off, I unboxed it, obviously. Connected it to a vesa arm which was easy enough since I have a kit full of screws of various lengths. Picked the right length and away I go. I connected one USB-C to power via a 140w certified cable to a 100w USB-C GaN charger which is more than enough to power this portable display. The other USB-C was a Club3d Displayport to USB-C bi-directional cable. So yeah, I could plug DP into my GPU and USB-C into this display and it worked.... for about 7ish hours.... After a long 6 hour gaming session and about an hour sitting in windows reading things online, it shut off.... then turned back on, then off, then on, then off, this happened about 5-8 times. On the final one, it would turn on, but only the green subpixels we be on and it looked funky. And then stay that way until I turned it off by unplugging the power (usb-c cable). After like 5 minutes I would plug it back in, and it would be fine, for about an hour, and then it would repeat the process over and over. This happened more than once, more than twice. Over the course of a night of me using my computer, it happened about 8 times. The next morning I returned it for a refund. It should not have passed Quality Control.... Maybe I got a defective unit? Otherwise, the visuals were nice, gaming on it was pretty nice. I was playing Arena Breakout Infinite with my friends for about 6 hours and that was really fun. There was a bit of input lag, but not enough to complain about. But enough to notice. Compared to my ACTUAL OLED monitors (aw3423dw and xg27aqdmg) you could tell there was input lag. Which is honestly weird because the panel used inside these portable displays is a Samsung laptop/tablet panel which uses eDP (eDisplayPort) which when you run native resolution, should have a native input lag of 600ns which is like 0.06ms which should make it faster than modern gaming monitors. Since the larger OLED's I own all have about 1ms input lag. 1.00ms vs 0.06ms is a huge difference. This portable display SHOULD feel instantaneous.... but it doesn't. Its more like 5ms maybe upwards of 8ms input lag. Which makes no sense. Its possible mine was just faulty all around. I returned it for a full refund from amazon.

I bought this for my son as he loves his technology and I haven’t had any complaints from him so far. I had a quick look with him and it was easy to use, the picture quality and sound were good. He knows more than me about what cables and things he needed but I have a happy teenager.
