Watch collector since 1970 ... this is a VERY nice watch.
I've got about 100 watches collected since 1970. The vast majority are tactical/tool/divers. The quality, fit, finish and general presentation are really excellent. Everything lines up perfectly as it should and the seconds hand clicks from marker to marker perfectly. After several days, this eco-drive set to the NIST clock is spot on to the second, as I would expect it to be. The Super Titanium bracelet is a beautiful piece of work. Once you adjust it (pin and collar) there are three micro-adjustment holes in the clasp. After adjustment, the watch and bracelet weighs about 100g ... VERY lightweight. The lume on this watch is as good as the lume on my $1200 Seikos, the SPB143 62MAS and my SPB051 65MAS. It glows very brightly and remain visible about 6 hours. I'm a Diver since 1970 and a Dive Master since 1988. People should know that WR ratings are totally meaningless UNLESS the manufacturer chooses to adopt the internationally recognized ISO standard for dive watches. ALL Seiko and Citizen watches conform to ISO 6425. This is a very nice watch.

Excellent quality and value.
I used to be a devoted TAG Heuer fan until the quality of their high-end watches started to slip. Citizen is a far better value. I bought this watch a few years ago, and I absolutely love the way it looks and feels. I took it diving and had no issues whatsoever. The watch is solar powered, so it never needs a battery and there is no maintenance required as with a self-winding automatic. I was skeptical about the scratch resistance of mineral glass, as I always preferred sapphire crystal in the past. However, after almost three years of daily wear, there isn't a single scratch on the glass. This is a superior watch to many of the high end dive watches on the market that command premium prices. For the money, this is an exceptional value and I am now a Citizen fan!

Excellent Dive Watch Makes for Excellent and Rugged Dependability.
Amazing. I've had the piece for a few weeks now, my first dive watch. Yet, what can be said about Promaster Dives that hasn't been said before? It gleams quite a brilliant yet slightly darker green than whats in the pic (this is mostly indoors, winter) - I can't wait to see this guy shine brilliantly in the spring time outside. Its is a piece that you'll be comfortable washing or even submersing your hands with. The piece came in the dive-tank replica, however had no instruction manual, however a light web search got me one translated and I had the entire thing read in less than 15 minutes. Lume is excellent, and even builds in florescent light, yet fades sort of quickly. Keep in mind, I haven't quite calculated the intensity of lume starting from highest to lowest but just remember to keep your expectations modest. Easy to read and set up. Sealed crown is a breeze to adjust, even wearing gloves. Easy to resize with a cheap toolset, much easier than a Tissot. If you buy this watch, and coordinate it with something green in your wardrobe, most likely people will compliment you, and ask if its a Rolex. You can tell them that its a Japanese Citizen, although the band is labelled as having come from China. Or not. Yet, my presumption is that most of us only really care about the Japanese movement inside. Does part of me wish I went with a Seastar? Kinda, yet to me if you have a dive watch on you're probably going to want to abuse it a little and this price point might allow you to do just that. Take it with you on the boat. Take it skiing. Take it fishing. Doing dishes. Folding Laundry. Looks classy everywhere.

Very, VERY nice looking dive watch from Citizen - good quality and amazing value!!!
What a super value in a dive watch!!! Came across this one recently by accident. And, upon first glance - I had to have it. I really like blue dial dive watches. I also know how well Citizen's Eco-drive technology works. Eco-drive tech is particularly appropriate for a dive watch, so that the case back does not have to be opened to replace a battery (at least not for a very long time), possibly compromising the water resistance of the watch. Upon receiving it, I was very impressed at what Citizen can offer at this price. EXCELLENT quality stainless steel bracelet!!! Not to mention, it is drop dead gorgeous!! The dial and bezel are similarly nice to look at, with the beautiful blue tones they have. The orange second hand is a nice touch. The watch has a screwed-in case back. As you might note from the dial, it is also ISO 6425-compliant. The only thing it doesn't have that would be nice, is a sapphire crystal. But you can't really expect that for a couple hundred dollars. Everything else the watch has is very nice. The bezel (60 clicks) is solid and precise. The lume is pretty good, and it includes a lume pip on the bezel. The bracelet uses the pin and collar system. If you size the bracelet yourself, be careful to NOT lose the collars, and to install them correctly!! Without the collars, the bracelet would fall apart. The clasp has 3 micro-adjustments for getting the perfect fit. I really like this watch. My only real complaint is that the date window is too small. Not the best choice for aging eyes. But otherwise, it is a fantastic watch overall, and I expect to get many years of use from it! Can't beat the price, either.

Stylish, Lightweight, Pristine
This watch is even better in person. A classy watch that I’ve taken from hoodie & jeans to a suit for a speaking event. The lightweight titanium band makes me forget I have it on, while slim enough it doesn’t get knocked around. The packaging was stellar! The Citizen box had a little wear & tear as most would, but opened it up to the air tank which was tucked into a protective foam molded insert. Plastic wrap was covering both exterior and interior of the titanium band and clasp. This is how a nice timepiece is packaged. Easy to adjust the time and the sliding tachometer bevel is smooth clicks to each mark, much like a high-end scope. The overall design and presentation of this watch is superb with a perceived value much higher than its price point. Beautiful, classic addition to my collection and daily wear. Well done Citizen. Well done. For idea in case size as a 44mm, I added a photo next to my G-Shock.

Excellent Promaster, Just Too Light for My Preference
This is a very well-made Citizen Promaster Sea watch. The fit and finish are excellent, and the size is perfect for my 7-inch wrist—it wears comfortably and feels well proportioned. The one-way rotating bezel operates smoothly, and overall the watch feels thoughtfully designed. I also really appreciate the Eco-Drive movement. Never needing a battery is a huge plus and makes this an easy, low-maintenance daily watch. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is the light weight of the titanium construction. While I understand titanium is lighter, stronger, and more scratch resistant, I personally prefer a watch with more heft. When I wear a watch, I like to feel its presence on my wrist, and this one was simply too light for my taste. That said, if you want a Citizen Promaster with excellent build quality, perfect sizing, and very light weight, this is a great choice.

Great watch.
Great watch. Is a real value. I'm very happy with it. It feels cery sturdy, it's on the large side, but it wears medium. The green changes tones with light, and you can read the time perfectly.

Citizen does not stand by its warranty
I bought this watch about 2 1/2 years ago. It was trouble-free until I noticed that the crystal “fogged” in high-humidity environments. This is not an optimal characteristic for a dive watch. Not to worry, however: the watch was covered by a 6-year warranty. So, I returned the watch to Citizen (at my expense) for evaluation and repair. I received no acknowledgment from Citizen that it had been received. Instead, I had to get on it website, and have an online “chat” with a representative who confirmed receipt and provided me with a repair number. Thereafter, I dutifully checked the website (using the repair number) almost daily for an update on my watch. For several days, the website advised that my watch was under evaluation. Eventually, the status page advised that an evaluation had been emailed to me with a cost-of-repair price. I checked my email and spam filter and found no email. And “cost” of repair? The watch was under warranty. So, I had another online chat with another customer service rep, who advised me that the watch had “moisture” in it. Right: that’s why I sent it to you. It’s a “dive” watch: it’s designed to withstand moisture. And, as an added bonus, I never subjected the watch to moisture (with the exception of one shower). I never wore it in the ocean or in a pool. I was told that the warranty only covered the movement and not water damage. (Consider that: the warranty does not cover the failure of a DIVE watch to withstand exposure to MOISTURE.) So, the cost of repair was my responsibility. I advised customer service that this was unacceptable, but all he offered was a reduction in the cost of repair (roughly 30% of what I paid for the watch to begin with, not including the $40 to ship it to Citizen in the first place). I asked the watch to be returned unrepaired. I’ll never buy a Citizen product again.
