Cool tool to have
I just got this tester and I’m excited to go out and test my batteries since I’ve got a couple of semis boat and cars and batteries are always either low on charge or they simply just fail because they’re old, so I tested a battery that I’ve had for a while and as soon as I connected this device it came on and it’s pretty self explanatory the screen has different options and you just choose what you want to do very simple, only thing was that it was blinking a lot but I read on the instructions that if the battery is under 8 volts they’ll probably device will not work so I’m assuming that’s why it was blinking, other than that it is very light and not too big so you can keep it in the glovebox or in your toolbox, I’m happy with it, very handy.

Good tester with a few detractions.
This is a handy instrument to have when verifying battery integrity. I've been stranded on the road when both batteries in a diesel pickup decided to finally give up the ghost at a remote area with little choice for replacements. This tool could have warned me earlier. This instrument works well and gives you very good information about your battery and electrical system. The menu is intuitive and detailed...but differs slightly from that shown in the listing and the manual. The menu is similar enough that one will quickly realize the differences and be able to get to where you need.I agree with another viewer that when setting the listed CCA of the battery it is a pain to cycle through to set the values at a very slow pace. I got the opportunity to go up to >1500 CCA for my paired diesel batteries down to 150 CCA for my motorcycle. Not fun.

Not As Listed in Seller's Description
The BT300 Battery Tester was tested within two days after receiving it. One known good 12V lead-acid battery and one known bad 12V lead-acid battery were tested. The BT300 reported, as expected, one good battery and one bad battery. I was satisfied with these results. On the down side, the seller's description of the unit stated that it could be used to test Type AA, AAA, C and D batteries. This is NOT true. The tester requires at least 8V to operate. Also, the operator's manual was poorly written. For these reasons, I am giving the BT300 a 3 star rating. Seller's description should definitely be corrected!

Great display. Lots of functions.
So far I have only used this to check a couple of batteries. The menu is easy to navigate. The display is bright and nice and clear. One battery I checked was bad, which I suspected. The next is okay but borderline. This is the smallest battery tester i have used. It would be easy to take on the road and would fit in many glove boxes. The clamps are sturdy and have a large grip capability. In general they did it right with this one.I do wish the CCA selection was quicker. It runs up and down at the same speed regardless of how log you hold it. It would be nice if it sped up after holding it for a couple of seconds. Not a big deal but an area for improvement. An easy five stars.

Helpful for diagnosing a battery problem! Just know it doesn’t run on its own.
Started right up when you attach it to the battery. Learned that my car battery is running abnormally, and doesn’t have enough cold crank amps despite the voltage being okay. Time to replace that guy I guess! There are a couple typos in the menus, but overall it’s generally easy to understand what to do. Read the manual pretty thoroughly to know what you are getting out of it. A thing to know here is that this guy doesn’t run on its own apparently, you’ve got to hook it up. Additionally the cords are not long enough to do what it tells you to do: start the car while pressing buttons on the unit itself. Lots of tests available to make sure your battery is ready to go. I hate to be caught out somewhere right at the time the battery’s life has run its course, so it’s useful to get a check in every now and again. With some flaws in design, it’s a 4 for me.

Good load tester
Easy to use load tester. Worked great to check the life on some SLA batteries I have.

Surprised.
I'm no mechanic, but this thing is able to do a variety of tests and seems to be able to tell you if your alternator or battery is doing ok. That makes it worth it to me. Many times I am unsure if my alternator is putting out enough juice and this thing can tell you. Good tool to have.

Great little tester and well made, lots of features and configurable options
Impressed with how the clamps are done, they soldered all the wires. Usually they just fold the conductors under the insulation and crimp together. It took extra time to make sure this was done right. The screen is so bright I couldn't hardly take pictures of it with my phone, I'm thinking viewing out in the sun will be easy to say the least. Tons of options for different types of batteries. I tested it on a 370 cranking amp AGM battery and the results were exactly where I expected them to be for the battery given its age and capacity. Really great value for the price.
