Great Tool - As Advertised
The mechanics stethoscope worked excellent. I have never used one, and this provided very clear amplified audio testing as intended. Great value.

Simple and effective
Here's something that I didn't know existed but that I needed in my garage. I have a vintage Mercedes that started making a whining sound, coming from the front of the engine. The serpentine belt on my car goes around 8 different pullies and I was not able to identify which one was making the sound. I learned that automotive stethoscopes were a thing via Google and ordered this item. I was able to diagnose the problem in about 5 minutes because, while there was a humming sound when testing all the other pullies, the top idler pulley sounded like the end of the world. I took it to my mechanic with that information and they were able to get it replaced in a couple of hours, allowing us to take the car on a road trip we had planned for Labor Day.

A Must Have for Diagnosing Noises!
This product is basically a must-have for any shade tree mechanic diagnosing noises under the hood. I had a horrible whining sound on my truck, and tried to use the old screwdriver-up-to-the-ear trick to diagnose the source of noise. That method did not give me quite nearly the definitive proof that this stethoscope provided.Once I used this product, I was easily able to trace the source of the noise back to my trucks A/C Compressor. The extra long probe made it very easy to get down low in the engine bay and make solid contact with the compressor. Found the noise! The earpieces fit nicely in my ears, providing good comfort and function during use, and the whole tool feels to be of high build quality. It should last indefinitely with proper storage during non use.As a bonus, you get to feel like a "car doctor", pulling out your handy dandy auto stethoscope. Worth it for that novelty alone!

Decent Mechanic’s Stethoscope – Gets the Job Done
This stethoscope works fairly well. I was able to pinpoint a ticking noise in the engine, which made it worth the purchase. The tubing is a two-piece design that screws together, and it feels a little flimsy because of that. However, it does what it's meant to do and is affordable enough to keep in the toolbox for quick diagnostics.

Mechanic Stethoscope
This Mechanic Stethoscope works really good you can hear everything in the engine while it's running, it is that sensitive so when listening to your engine you got to make sure to keep it from touching anything that is not supposed to or knocking around in order to hear the sound of the engine correctly but overall this is a good product. I would also recommend this if you're looking to buy a new car you can listen to the engine as you're going over the new car like I'm doing to do.

Great for any mechanical system
I use this to set the "beat" of the clocks I work on. Works great and very easy to use. They don't clamp your head and are very comfortable. This stethoscope picks up even the slightest bit of mechanical noise.

Very affordable highly recommended
Extremely affordable, good quality I bought it because I thought I had rod knock, and with this, I figured out where the noise was coming from it was coming from my alternator. The bearing inside of it was creating this thump, and you can hear anything the belts, the lifters the water pump. Make sure everything is in good shape.
