Waiting in Wonder: Growing in Faith While You're Expecting Hardcover – April 15, 2013

I have thoroughly enjoyed going through this devotional while I have been pregnant. My only regret with it is not getting it sooner! This book starts at week 5 and goes through week 40 of pregnancy. I am not good at journaling on my own, so this has been such a blessing. I've loved spending quiet time with God and journaling through this time of waiting for my baby to arrive. I look forward to finishing it out and I would recommend it to any expectant mothers wanting to draw closer to God while waiting for their little one!

I have never been a regular devotional girl. But when I got pregnant with our son, I knew I needed something to help guide my heart towards God, rather than just focusing on preparing all the physical things that a baby needs. This book has been an answer to prayer!! I love that there are not devotionals every day, just most days of the week, as I'm not the best at this habit yet. No guilt, just benefit!I also love the content just so, so much. The author weaves the physical things you experience as an expecting momma with spirituality somehow in such a beautiful way. It really points you back to the Lord, gently, and has helped me view the amazing spiritual side of pregnancy, that many of my mom friends don't even think about! But I think my favorite part is that you also usually have space to journal a response to God, or to take a note about your thoughts, and then to write a prayer for your baby or a letter to them, every day. This small journaling response is what is so helpful for me, as I meditate on the scripture and topic written for each day. I love this devotional and will be buying it for every married, Christian momma I know!! (it does address your marriage a lot, which I love, but wouldn't be as helpful or encouraging for a single momma)

I love this devotional! I did it with my first in 2020 and it's so sweet! It's short and sweet but gives you a moment with the Lord and baby to reflect and encourages you in your pregnancy. Great as a gift too!

This book has been great for me. I use it at night before I go to bed to wind down. It's really sweet and I like that you can write little messages to the baby. In the beginning of my pregnancy, it helped me stay calm and not worry so much. Just helped to remember God is always in control. ❤️ I definitely recommend

I loved every minute I spent in this book. It was encouraging, and motivating to write down all the little details of the pregnancy. COVID started *just after* I got pregnant, so it's neat to look back at all the details in the margins. It helped me to cope with the uncertainty. We also unexpectedly lost our baby at birth. I only wish I hadn't slacked off in the latter part of the book. I absolutely love looking back and seeing all of the things we had hoped for, and the sweet memories we had for our growing family. While thinking about my late son can be bittersweet, I am so grateful to be able to access the few memories we had with him. We assumed we had a lifetime ahead of us with him, and it was a shock (to say the least) to realize our only time together was these 9 months. Still, we've thankfully gotten to a point where the sweetness and joy of our short time with him outweighs the sorrow from losing him. And I owe this shift in mindset to so many people and memory records, including this book.

This book is kinda hard to stay committed to especially with having a busy life. Not so sure it’s a book to give to your child when they are older it’s more for you personally.But id have to say I do like this book, when I have the time to work on it I actually like doing it and I believe when I do work on it god is trying to speak to me.

Im very pleased with the book. It became my daily devotional journal that helped me through my pregnancy until birth. It helped me strengthen my faith, be thankful of all the blessings, and to look forward in the future with courage. The daily verses and reflections became the source of my encouragement. Im totally recommending this book to buy as a present or personal journal during pregnancy.

I'm not really great at journaling but I wanted to have something to record my experiences with my first pregnancy and this was SO GREAT. I loved how it was set up and the writing prompts were a wonderful way for me to think about what I was experiencing. I plan on keeping this to give to my daughter when she has her first baby.

The book is just what I was expecting. It tells you about your baby growth whilst keeping it Godly.
