Great CBT Tool for Social Workers
I work with children/adolescents doing individual therapy. I have found this to be a wonderful tool. It is CBT oriented, but offers fun worksheets and activities to engage children in therapy and increase application. Great for new clinicians as well, as this book is very detailed and offers a good introduction to CBT in the beginning. I use this without the clinicians manual/version just fine. The only reason it isn't getting 5 stars is that some of the worksheets have cartoons geared towards younger kids, which makes it less appealing to a teen.

Therapist Review
Not one of my favorite books as I don't find it particularly user-friendly or inventive. Tends to sit on my bookshelf without me using it.

but the worksheets weren't exactly useful for the age group I was working with
The book was really helpful, but not exactly what I was looking for. I was hoping to use it for group therapy, but the worksheets weren't exactly useful for the age group I was working with.

Big Help for the Novice Clinician
This book is a great way to orient yourself into the CBT framework and mindset. It provides easy to understand explanations of the theory that can then be passed onto clients. It also provides great, easy to use, hands on activities that make your work with kids a lot more fun and engaging for them and for you too.

Great workbook
My son's counselor recommended this workbook for their weekly sessions. He does some in therapy and a little at home. It's a great workbook, best used in conjunction with therapy to get the most from.

Fantastic sources for children and academic information for adults.
As a psychology student I was pleasantly surprised at the academic nature of the book, very informative easy to read section on CBT, more over endless resources to use with the children. The work sheets are easy to photo copy, and visually simple and pleasing. The children give it the thumbs up.

great book for working with young people
I found this book to be a fantastic resource and tool for my work with children and young people. The interface and worksheets are child friendly and children are interested in reading and completing the exercises. It's really easy to follow and read as a practitioner. A great tool for CBT work only with young people.

A must for teenagers!
My daughter and I spent time together working through this book. It has helped her to identify different types of thinking so she can separate reality from worries. Highly recommend this one!

This is a good wee book
This is a good wee book; but I would suggest buying the hard copy. I bought the ebook and can't download the worksheets. With the hard copy you get a link to download.
