Beware! Also please see update.
I first purchased one of these (27/04/20) and was extremely impressed with the quality. I am 60 years old and have purchased many different ones over the years....this was the best!!!The parasol material was a cream colour and very strong canvas material. The crank handle was also been extremely sturdy. It has been in my garden (exposed and with no cover) for nearly 18 months and showed no sign of wear or discoloration.Last Sunday I had inadvertently left the parasol open and was upset to find a gust of wind had got under it, blown it over taking my glass table with it and completely snapping the main pole. No one at fault but myself. So I got straight online and pressed "Buy Again"I WAS EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED when it arrive today.NOTING LIKE THE ORIGINAL ONE. It is a lot lighter (in weight), the material of the parasol is much like plastic, it is very yellow in colour and the the crank is quite flimsy.UNFORTUNATELY I cannot return it because I have to use it today, but doubt that I will buy another one when needed🤔😔UPDATE:- I received a call from this company within days of posting my review. They offered to collect BOTH parasols and replace them or refund me in full (even though the breakage of the first one was entirely my fault). The staff could not have been more helpful (Thank you Lucy). As I explained I had to use the second one, but they have assured me that if I am not happy with it I only have to get in touch with them. You can email this company or if you are like me and wish to speak in person, their response time on the phone is immediate.CUSTOMER SERVICE...OUTSTANDING!And because of this I retract my original statement and will DEFINITELY USE THIS COMPANY again for further purchases😊.

Quality in appearance and output.
Couldn’t find a 2m parasol for an entire season with a crank action and a tilt to fit our small patio and then this popped up.. I have used it every sunshine day so far and it looks good as well as provides the appropriate shade needed. The tilt helps to manoeuvre the parasol as the sun moves around the garden. Excellent.

All set for summer
Our cream 2.4m brolly only arrived this morning- just as well really because it's been a beautifully warm and sunny day. I can report that it has performed admirably on its debut. It appears to be of good quality, nice thick material, dead easy to crank up and down, tilt mechanism works well.As my initial impression is very positive, I award 5 stars.Should anything break, annoy or disappoint us, I'll return to modify my review and star rating accordingly.

Much too high.
Within moments of opening ithe parasol, in only a slight breeze, it blew over and crashed on the terrace and the spring came out of the crank handle so I am no longer able to use it. In my opinion the parasol is much too high and thus is unstable in the lightest wind and is also too high to put a waterproof cover over it without using steps. I imagine it was designed to this height to avoid the need to 'duck under it', but from my experience this is a basic fault.

You get what you pay for. 5/10.
This is a nice parasol which is cheap and fairly good value. However you do get what you pay for (or rather don’t get in this case!).I’m happy with it but the issues which niggle me are:1 - the tilt mechanism butting can get stuck at times, and I also caught some of my thumb skin innit causing a small blood blister. Lesson learned - move thumb off button when tilting.2 - tilt mechanism button gets stuck in so it needs to be moved back a forwards a few tiles to get it to pop out.3 - top half of pole which holds the umbrella spins round with no way of securing it and therefore any amount of wind which catches the parasol when it’s in a tiled position blows it around so that the sun ends up on too, defeating its purpose. Doesn’t happen when it’s open in a flat position though.Overall it was cheap compared to others - would spend more next time. Should have spent more first time round to avoid buying “next time”!

Good value, lightweight well made. Highly recommended.,e
These parasols are lightweight, easy to remove and store daily and so far they appear to be sturdy on our windy beachside location . They do lift out of the bases when the wind gets beneath them, but that’s not the fault of the parasol, but our windy location so we have bolted them into their bases and they are doing really well in a challenging environment. It has been difficult to find parasols with a post that splits easily and tops that are lightweight enough for our staff to bring them inside daily and these have served our purpose perfectly. They look good .We started with 10 and we were so pleased with them we have ordered more. The delivery was really quick and they take minimal work to erect. Just remove packaging, slot parasol top onto the bottom pole and they are ready.

Looks good, but flimsy. See photos
A picture is worth a thousand words. The old adage that you get what you pay for holds true, so just be aware. On first observation the parasol is fine and looks good. The pole and mechanism seems to be sturdy. However the fabric of the parasol is thin and cheaply finished (see photos). For £59.99 I guess I need to manage my expectations here. I’ve decided to cover it with the (excellent) parasol protector I bought some time ago https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004NC6F1E/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and hope this will at least prolong the life.

Concern for uv protection
The size of the shade is exactly what I wanted the tilt is very handy too . My only concern is the 50+ uv protection! As this was bought to replace my same size parasol because of lack of uv. My disabled husband still got sunburnt including using a factor 50 sun cream. Looking underneath doesn't look any different than the one I have
