If I could avoid giving this any stars I would. Let me start by saying this would never work, or at least without some major modifications. The concept is great but the execution is horrible. To start the material is flimsy and very cheap feeling in your hand. The motor is slow and did not appear to have power enough to rotate once the skewers where loaded. With even the lightest of touch on the skewers, they stopped rotating. The motor is directly on the side of the box to hold the skewers and is powered by a plastic/rubber encased plug that when placed on, or even near a hot grill it would melt. The plug adapter was also not tight and fell out easily. Lastly in the absence of directions to assemble, we made guesses on how this would even work. In the end I did not feel confident enough in the device to even use it.The ONLY thing I could say is if you had a small infrared cooking device it MIGHT work but I seriously doubt it.

I was intrigued by this as I like to make kabobs and I find constant turning can be tedious.Unfortunately this item missed the mark on more than a few points.First, the USB power supply was DOA out of the box.Second the skewers are very flimsy and exceedingly sharp.Thirdly the edges of the holder are sharp enough the cut if you are not careful.The positioning of the power port, facing down will make it awkward to plug in when it is on the grill.The 1 page instructions seem to indicate that the skewers are to protrude through the drive gears, but the castings are not fully punched through.The motor, in my unit, was not fully tightened down to the rack, the instructions warn that may happen and show you how to disassemble the unit to tighten everything up, that did not instill confidence.For the price, I would not recommend it.Here is how I rate items:5 Stars = Exceeds all expectations, A definite buy!
