You need more than one!
The Cusinart ice cream machine is a great kitchen accessory. The freezer bowl (check the name) should be in your freezer for at least 24 hours prior to making ice cream. Do this and you'll have fresh, home made ice cream 20-30 minutes later at the much of a button. Now...what if you want to make a second portion or flavor immediately? No problem if you have a second freezer bowl...which is precisely why I bought my second one. Nothing wrong with the one that came with the Ice Cream machine, but it's great to know I can make as much ice cream as I like with that second bowl. I keep the two bowls ,in the plastic bag they arrived in, in my freezer and they are ready to go whenever I feel like making ice cream! If you have the room in your freezer, keep a second bowl in it! For ice cream lovers, this is a must have accessory.

Great ice cream maker!
This bowl goes into the Cuisinart ice cream making machine - you need both. I have liked other Cuisinart products, and if you like home made ice cream, you can’t go wrong here, in my opinion. It really beats the hand crank types. What it doesn’t do is short cut the “cooking process”. You still have to make a custard for most recipes. Double boiler and a lot of stirring. If you can get around that, this is a good machine for you. Great family project. However, this bowl has to be used frozen and it takes up a chunk of freezer space.

Excellent second tub
We thought our first one was losing its ability to freeze the ice cream mixture, but it turns out we put a little too much banana in the mix. Great having a second one on hand.

Don't ever wash with hot or warm water!!
The bowl is a perfect replacement for our Cuisinart ICE30BC Ice Cream Maker. Now for the very VERY important things to remember and if you are buying a replacement then it is probably due to the same problem I had...it stopped freezing properly, the gel inside the walls of the bowl is sloshy and would not stay cold enough to make ice cream even after a week in the freezer at max cold temp!! That was entirely my fault for rinsing the bowl out with hot water...don't even use warm water just rinse with cold water after you have removed your ice cream from the bowl. I don't care how dirty and gross it sounds, DON'T use soap or warm or hot water ever EVER with this bowl and it will last you a very long time. No metal tools, just rinse and immediately put it back in the freezer when you are done making and emptying your ice cream. And on a side note, this machine makes the best ice cream I have ever had, and the cuisinart ice cream recipes are simple and great.

This Size Is Tough To Find!
I searched for a replacement in this size and priced to he a little challenging.I finally found it and ordered silicon lids so that the ice cream can stay nice and cold in this container. It was the perfect size replacement we needed for our ice cream maker.Easy to clean and store and has no strange metallic taste.

So easy to make ice cream with this.
My best friend volunteered to teach me how to make ice cream on a hand crank ice cream maker in 1967. He volunteered to do the long part by cranking it first for what seemed like forever so I could do the short finishing at the end. I should have figured that it would get harder to turn at the end as the mixture froze. I learned the hard way. I’ve had a number of ice cream freezers over the year but this is the easiest and most dependable ever. I bought an extra freezing bowl because one flavor isn’t enough. A big plus is that this makes frozen cocktails also. Bonus!. Cocktails on a hot summer day during your meal and ice cream for dessert. All in about 25 minutes for each.
