Avet Raptor Dual Drag Reel with Magnetic Cast Control

The reel may be hi quality, I counld not make a judgement. The one I received was damaged, or was a left over sitting on a shelf in the box collecting dust. It was damaged product box was crushed, reel was stiff probably cast 10 feet. Not sure if was MFG problem or Retailer.

Avet is by far the best brand of reels ever made, in my opinion. Love the size of the sx. It's perfect for inshore or off, has a ton of drag with the raptor drag system.

Love the color and the performance

Love Avet reels, but not this one. While it is built well and virtually indestructible, it doesn’t have enough line capacity to troll or bottom drop over a couple hundred feet with 30lb braid. I returned them to Chaos and they refunded me less then half my money for a restocking fee. Would not recommend Chaos or this reel.

Great reel

The best real for the money that you can buy with the perfect drag, it handles, big grouper, big Amber Jack, like a charm, the 2speed feature makes it really great. I fish offshore to 300 feet of water, and it is paired with bull bay sniper rod, I do have some trouble with a 300 pound shark but I did land it.

When it comes to deep sea reels, you can never go wrong with a Avet! They handle Blue and Yellow Fin Tuna Like A BOSS!!!

I’m getting another one right now! The dual drag is Awesome. I bought a Shimano reel the same size and after one time out and caught two nice size fish the drag was burned out. One guy said don’t buy this because there’s not enough room for line for trolling or bottom fishing in a couple hundred feet with 30 braid. I have the HX 3/S MC. I can easily fish deep drops around 600-700’ with 80 braid. Just tecently caught a Goliath Grouper about 350 lbs. This reel not only stop and turned his head, I didn’t even use low gear. I WILL BUY AVET!
