Solid homage watch. Beautiful piece
Solid watch all around. I bought this because Interstellar is one of my favorite movies and I have always wanted a Murph but I don’t have the moolah for that, so this fit the bill. It’s a beautiful watch, truly. I have gotten so many compliments on it after owing it for only a week. I love the 37mm size, it looks great on my 7.5” wrist. The metal band is super comfortable and easy to adjust and I like how it has 5 micro adjustment points rather than 3 like all the other metal bands. A sapphire crystal at this price is amazing and it’s a beautiful crystal. I haven’t had a change to test the water resistance but it has held up to washing hands and that’s about it. I bought a black leather band to really seal the Murph look and it looks great! Solid watch. 5/5 all day

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – A Surprisingly Great Grab-and-Go Alternative to the Murph
I started out really wishing Hamilton made a quartz Murph—something grab-and-go with that same classic field watch style. Spoiler: they don’t. But while searching for a decent alternative, I stumbled across the Militado ML08 VH31. This thing punches way above its weight. Every time I check the time, I’m impressed by how good it looks. It nails the vibe I was chasing—simple, legible, military-style design like the Murph, but with a quartz heart (Seiko VH31, smooth sweep). The 38mm size is perfect: comfortable, well-proportioned, and easy to wear. The finishing is better than expected at this price. Brushed case, solid-feeling crown, clean dial printing. For $90 (even though I know it can be found cheaper on other sites), the quality is hard to believe. I would’ve paid $500 for a Hamilton-branded quartz Murph—but this absolutely scratches that itch. The seller was great and shipping was quick. If you’re after a dependable, no-fuss field watch with classic looks and quartz convenience, this one’s worth every penny. Highly recommended.

Does the job.
All in all it does exactly what I was hoping for. A very nice vintage field watch for under $100. The sweep second is a bit clunky (maybe 3 ticks per second instead of a usual 5 from an automatic watch) but still better than 1 per second. Overall looks great and the screw down crown is nice. Hopefully it is waterproof for swimming. Will report back on that. Biggest area for improvement would be the quality of the nylon NATO band which feels a bit like sandpaper. Also the anti-reflection coating definitely can improve.

Value for money
Amazed at the quality of this watch, particularly for the price. If I had a nit to pick, the hands could be as well finished as the rest of the watch. The movement has run 3 seconds slow in one month. Really impressed, I would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice 38mm watch.

Inexpensive homage, nice quality
Excellent value and quantity. I like that it's unbranded. You get the wearing experience of the Swiss watch it's modeled after without the expense. The smooth seconds quartz movement makes it look even more like an automatic. If you're after the look and feel of the expensive automatic, but don't care about having the branding and heritage of the original, this is an inexpensive alternative. It's not an exact "copy," but it's its own thing with the quartz movement and some details. A nice homage at a great price

All in all good
I love the VH31 MechaQuartz movement. The dial design is almost perfect. Just don't like the arrow. I wish case was full bead blasted. Don't like polish the brushing is fine. Absolutely tiny. My first watch this size and It's way to small for me. Hand finishing is really bad All in all great watch that I honestly like much more than the Hamilton it is coping. But it's made in china and definitely has some minor issues and personal taste issues that is just subjective. For the money it's worth it. But not the watch for me. I got it just to test out and to practice Modding on. For that it's been great.

Fantastic watch - great sweeping movement
Don't let the price or name fool you. First, do your research on this watch, and you will find a dedicated fanbase. I got this watch as a weeker that I would not mind if it got beat up. I was immediately impressed with the size of the case and the hands. The movement of this watch is fantastic. The second hand sweeps more than it ticks. This quartz movement is a perfect time keeper. I love this watch and recommend it for any enthusiast. I immediately swapped the strap to a silicone one that can endure getting wet and can be easily cleaned.
