I fish alone and am under the 420 capacity. I fish East Texas lakes. The problem is big wakes from bigger faster boats. I would take more people and weight on a private lake. mhh

two without gear. three if they are around 100 lb. if it is a pond and no wind you can push it. The boat is filled with Styrofoam and will not sink even if overturned but as you near 400 lb it rides low in the water. I have been in lake advisories and it handled well. It is important not to exceed 7.5 HP even if you have a bigger motor. The submersion weight is probably between 500 and 600 total lbs equally distributed.
