Samsung Galaxy J6 2018 32 GB UK SIM-Free Smartphone, Black, UK Version

I bought this phone about a week ago and so far I am quite impressed with it! The screen is a fairly good size, but could be lightly wider. The phone can play videos up to 720p 60 FPS which is just fine for a small screen, the Nintendo switch plays on 720p in portable mode!I was pleasantly surprised by the battery life of this little phone, out of the box it was at 50% which lasted all day. I have only had to charge this phone twice to 100% in the last 7 days with moderate use and I think that is good. I picked this phone up on sale for £147.99 ( original price was £180) which is a great deal, even at full price.The J6 despite being a fair bit cheaper than the S models still has many high-end features like finger print scanning, face recognition, sophisticated photo editing options, etc.However the camera is where the phone falls a bit short. It is not quite as good as i was expecting but the back camera ( not zoomed in ) has great quality. The face camera has a 'motion blur' when moving it which can ruin a photo but with a steady hand the picture quality is just fine.For anyone who is considering buying the J6+ model instead of the original J6 please be aware that the processor is 0.2Ghz slower! The Original J6 has a 1.6GHz processor but the new J6+ plus processor only runs at 1.4GHz. That is not good for general phone running speed or playing games.I have played a few games on this phone so far ( one of which is fairly demanding of specs) and all have ran very smoothly with no noticeable drops in frame rate.To conclude this review I am giving the Samsung Galaxy J6 5/5 stars. For the value you honestly can't go wrong, it holds up really well and unless you are big on high quality cameras there is not much of a difference performance-wise compared against much more expensive phones. Great phone, great price. Very happy.

This is a great phone for the price and I cannot fault it. The screen is good and it responds fast. I tried a cheaper Blackview A7 which seemed to have all the qualities of much more expensive phones but it must have had a slow chip because it was painfully slow to respond. However, this Samsung J6 responds to button presses instantly despite being a fraction of the price of the latest generation of phones. The screen is clear and very bright and the sound quality is good and loud. After a day's use the battery is still normally above 75% which is all I need as I always recharge overnight.My only minor quibble is that the micro SD card is difficult to swap as it requires a pin or piece of wire to be inserted into a tiny hole to make the card tray pop out.

Pro's:- Battery life is great- easy to use- face recognition and fingerprint scanner is quick and consistent- smooth interface and overall experience- great screen- camera is surprisingly better than expected, can take clear and crisp shots on rear camera and has selfie focus on front camera too.Con's:- speakers are average, by no means are they bad but no where close to the likes of the s9 or note 9.- laggy when heavy gaming- no always on display or led notifications- will not be getting the latest Samsung one ui update, even though it is a 2018 smartphone- missing certain Samsung features for no apparent reason

I absolutely love this phone and would give it 6 stars if it was possible.The setup process was very easy and it is a pleasure to use in every aspect. The price of £148 is such good value for such great quality. The only reason to spend more money is badge snobbery. I can see why sales of Iphones have dropped with so many other companies producing such good quality products, without high prices ripping people off for vanity.The slots for two SIM cards and the ability to increase the memory with the SD card slot is so useful.I was very pleased with the supplier and the phone was delivered ahead of schedule.

I was debating if I should get this or the J5. I am happy with my decision.The J6 doesn't have a 'home' button like the J5, but my mother didn't have a home button on her previous phone either, so this was not a deal breaker.I was surprised however, that the phone does not support 5ghz band WIFI. I assumed it would, it again isn't a big deal as most places used 2.5ghz band, and I have one at home also. Setting things up for my mum was simple enough, even as a 'non-android' user like me. So far the battery life has been great, and the speed upgrade from my mum's previous Sony phone is noticeable.I would recommend this phone.

Absolute waste of my time! Bought for my 83 year old mother who has rheumatoid arthritis in her hands. My father has this phone which is small,unlike the 6+ inches they sell nowadays.I opened up box, to find wrong usb.Couldn't set phone up as everything was in Chinese. As soon as I switched on, written in Chinese. Impossible for me to change the settings and to be quite frank having 2 issues from the start it needed to go back. Royal mail collected it. 5 days later still waiting on a refund.Disgraceful.

I bought this phone for use in the UK but I also wanted to use it in the US. For that purpose, it does very well. It will take two sim cards from different carriers and you can use them both at the same time or just one. Even though it is just an entry level smart phone, it does everything I need it to do including taking nice photos. The phone I received was designed for European use (Poland), but I just changed the screen language to English and it worked fine in the UK. I am now in the US and it works perfectly here with the UK sim or a US sim.

The phone itself is really good, fair price for a good device.But on the product description says that is unlocked and it also says it is an UK device.IT IS NOT! It's an European model and it says on a label attached to the box that you have to use the phone with an European sim card for at least 5 minutes in order to unlock it.I did for over 40 minutes and next week I'm taking this phone to my father in law that lives in Brazil.Lets see if is really unlocked.
