5 stars... For now...
A bit of background. I'm now on my 3rd set in 9 months. Of the reviews I read, maybe 20-25 I haven't seen anyone with issues I came across. I will admit customer support acts quickly and has done a great job so far. The first headset I had lasted about 2 weeks before I started experiencing intermittent cutouts of audio. It would turn off the bluetooth headset, and I would have to turn it back on and re-pair with my phone or pc... Later I realized it would discharge the battery even after a full charge. It was pretty annoying. I thought at first it was a bad battery and need charging. When I found out I could wiggle the right ear wire and make the headset stay on if I held the wire at a certain bended direction I realized it had something to do with that connection. The issue I will speculate and say it might have been a faulty contact or short somewhere in the wiring to both ear phones. I contacted customer support and received a new one in a few days. I was satisfied, at first. In a couple months the same issue happened. I thought I might be able to deal with it knowing I could manipulate the wire, but it did eventually discharge the battery so frequently it would no longer charge. I was concerned It would happen a 3rd time and researched many of the other phones on amazon but they didn't have the same mix of battery and no boom for a mic I wanted. I took a gamble and here I am, about a month and a half with no issue. Just in case I took some old pens apart and twisted the springs around the exposed wire to create a stronger shielding from kinks and bends. Not sure if the first 2 were just faults during manufacturing or if the springs are working but it eases my mind a bit knowing there is some added protection. I'll try to review the set as if I didn't experience the above issues. I'm at least slightly an audiophile and mainly use an old set of $300 Sony MDR-V600 studio phones which require an amplified signal for amazing sound. I've compared those phones with the $350 bose noise cancelling phones and for clarity my Sony set is slightly better. These phones are far from that, however they are pretty clear. The sound is mostly balanced and has a flatter sound profile. The decibel level can get fairly loud and doesn't bleed out that much. Unless you are in a very quiet space, using at high volume shouldn't bother people at around 10ft or so. That being said they do block a decent amount of outside noise, too. They are comfortable and have good in call audio quality. The battery life is impressive too. I can go a week and a half with pretty regularly usage at moderate volume on just one charge. They work well with the included 3.5mm audio cable as well. If there is no faulty cable or short, these phones are well worth the money. To be fair if this third set breaks down in less than a year I will quickly give it 0 stars. How can they get any stars if they don't work? I would recommend these but it's too early to tell at the moment. To be continued...

Best Head Phones on the Market!
To start this off I was neither paid or given a discount on this product. I've simply just been looking wireless headphones that would hold a battery and do what I needed them to do. At this moment I am giving these headphone 5 out 5 I was able to use them right out of the box and only took about less then a min to connect my phone to them and be able to listen to music. Ive used them when talking to my girlfriend and the sound quality was great. My girlfriend comments on how the clarity was a better then the past headphones I've used. I have a pretty large head and these headphones fit my head perfectly. It cuts out other sounds around me pretty well. I wouldn't say 100% but it's pretty good for the price. Also I will add that if for some reason something happens to the headphones within the first 12 months (large amount of time) your able to send them back if you register them with the company and I think that is amazing! I will update this review as I use them. I currently have no complaints about them. Best head phones I've ever owned. I don't know how these headphones have gotten any bad reviews. Also side note I will compare these headphone to some beats I'm getting in the near future (getting them for free due to buying a computer). Feel free to comment on this review and I will answer anything you send my way. *UPDATE* Well everyone I have gotten my pair of beats and I have been switching back and forth between the two head phones and I've come to the conclusion that I like the Avantree Head Phones way more then the Beats I got. The Beats I got are valued at $300. Lets just say I wouldn't waste my money on them. When you buy Beats head phones your simply paying for the name brand. I use the Avantree pretty dang often and I have yet to need to charge them! The battery life on them are amazing. I use them while Im working on my laptop, sitting around at the house, riding my bike or just walking across campus (I'm a college student). The wireless microphone work pretty dang great! I tried the wireless headphones on the beats and the person I was talking to could hardly hear me at all. When I called them back using the Avantree head phones they could hear me perfectly. Maybe I got some defected Beats but who knows. For those of you who are gamers you can wire the headphones and plug them into your controller and use them to talk to other players. I have an xbox 1 and Ive used it several times to talk to my friends while playing games on xboxlive. To go back and talk about the beats a little more. Don't get me wrong the sound on them is great but for the price I would expect the wireless microphone to work way better then it does. One of the bigger perks for me personally when it comes to the Beats is that your able to fold them for storage. You are not able to fold the Avantree head phones but it honestly doesn't bother me at all. At the end of the day Avantree wireless headphones are way better then beats and I will for sure buy Avantree headphone again in the future.

Great headphones, Overwhelmed? support.
First off, I really like these headphones. I bought them to replace a set of Idea V200 headphones, which were simply too heavy. (Otherwise, they're pretty nice, and seem very well made.) What really attracted me to this listing was the generally good reviews, and advertised weight of 180 grams! I was getting tired of my old wireless headphones pressing on my head, or slipping off / around if I wasn't just sitting still. These Avantree Audition headphones sound great (I'm far from being an audiophile, but I've had some decent sound systems, and like a pretty wide range of music.) If anything, these headphones seem much bassier than my previous ones, but I can't really say which one was more accurate. It isn't distracting, just something to be aware of. They seem to be well made, and are generally pretty comfortable*. I love the light weight, and the ear cups are actually big enough to go around my ears. (My ears aren't huge, but probably on the larger side of "normal"). My one and only gripe so far is the the ear cups simply aren't deep enough to avoid having the tips of my ears press into the foam inner liner. It isn't any big deal for an hour or so, but as time goes by, it gets more and more annoying, to the point where it's getting to be uncomfortable. From some of the other reviews, this is a somewhat common problem, and Avantree apparently has deeper ear cups available. (Maybe -- see below). I say "apparently", because I can't quite get through their email based customer service. I thought I accurately explained that I wanted to buy a set of "deeper" ear pads, but have been playing email tag over about a week now where they reply with some canned response of how I can return the headphones, or how they're assigning me an RMA number, or are sending me a new set of pads. (Regular, deeper? who knows -- I certainly don't). All without ever actually admitting whether these deeper pads even exist. I can't really fault their attempted helpfulness, but it doesn't seem like anyone actually read my email, or my three responses so far. It seems like rather than "waste" 10 seconds reading my email, they would rather string this out over days and multiple emails. I don't know if they're just swamped from the holiday rush, or their CS folks aren't native English speakers? Either way, despite their good attitude and apparent intentions, they aren't actually helping me at this point. (I remain hopeful, but so far I'd have to give their service 2 stars just based on how much of a run-around this is causing me, and them, when a simple "yes, here is how to order them", or even a "sorry, those are the only size we have" would have avoided all this trouble.) I the meantime, I just ripped the ~3/16" foam liner out of each ear cup, and put a loop of plastic tubing around the inside of each cup to space the pads out just a bit. It's not *quite* perfect, but it's very close, and makes them comfortable for the 2-3 hours at a time I wear them. If I do eventually get deeper pads from Avantree, I will update this review. For now, these are 5 star headphones for folks with smaller or flatter ears, and maybe 3 stars for us Dumbos. Update 12/6/2018: I've received another 3-4 email flurry of copied messages from a back and forth between their customer service, and what I assume is their supplier back in China. No one actually addressed my questions directly, but it appears they are sending me deeper pads at no charge. (2-3 week est. delivery.) I will try to update this once they come in. Overall, I'm not quite sure how to rate their customer service. They have helped me, and at no charge on what is already a pretty low priced item. On the negative side, it's been a bunch of run-around and until the 7th or 8th email, I never actually got what could be considered an answer to my initial inquiry.

The "deep bass" advertised is not what it's cracked up to be (EDIT: Just kidding! See edit below)
Let me preface this by saying that these headphones have a lot of potential to them. The design looks great and seems to be well built, though the ear cushions are a bit stiff. Unfortunately my main concern with any headphone is styling and sound quality. These deliver on styling, but sound quality is lacking...it seems there was a heavy, artificial wide-band boost that was tuned into the headphones somewhere in the 300-500 hz range. This creates a very muddy, cheap sounding bass that overwhelms the rest of the sound spectrum. If the manufacturer spent more time tuning them and used quality parts that could handle this kind of boost in the low end, it might be okay. But if you're used to even relatively good sound like I am, it will drive you crazy. I was able to get them to sound pretty decent by putting -5 to -20 db drops from 100 to 1000 hz (I'm not even kidding here), and they seemed to shine once this EQ was in place. But this is a nuisance as I have to change the EQ any time I use the speakers on my PC or use another pair of headphones on my phone. I like the idea of having bluetooth headphones like this to help with mobility as I'm moving around my house. These actually did decent in that it always connected almost instantly. But there was an annoying glitch where, no matter which device they were connected to (I tried three), the sound would stutter every few minutes. It was fine at first but became frustrating after a while. Unfortunately, I ended up returning these as I couldn't handle the nuisance of having to constantly tune my sound card. I know this is a bit of a negative review, but I'm a semi-audiophile that can't handle terrible sounding, artificial-bass headphones (similar to my experience with the cheap JLAB in-ear headphones a while back). In my opinion, my $7 Panasonic ErgoFit headphones I use occasionally at the local coffee shop sound worlds ahead of these. I'm going to go ahead and save up for another pair of AudioTechnica M50x headphones which I use daily at work. They've dropped in price all the way to $115 which is a steal! Bluetooth is nice, but I'm willing to sacrifice for great sounding, high quality headphones. If Avantree were to develop a non-"DEEP BASS" version of these, I'd seriously consider picking them up. But then again I know these are a big money-maker for them, so I don't know if/when that would happen. ----------------------------------------------------------------- EDIT: Sara below arranged to have a new upgraded version of these headphones sent to me. All I can say is, holy crap!! (Can I say crap on Amazon? I guess we'll find out!) I feel like they somehow hopped in a time machine and read my review, then returned and fixed everything I had pointed out. Literally everything I complained about previously has been fixed. I was listening from my AudioTechnica headphones when the package arrived, so I quickly hopped from those to the upgraded Avantree headphones. Obviously, there's an inevitable difference between $50 and $200 headphones. But it isn't much. Yes, the bass is still emphasized, especially over the AudioTechnica's. But it's no longer the nonsensical terrible-sounding bass I had issue with previously. The detail and clarity is almost comparable with the AudioTechnica's, and that's really saying something. The ear cushions on the upgraded version are much softer. I feel like the headphones were designed for smaller heads (not a 6' 230lb man). But with both sides at nearly max length, it's very comfortable. Bluetooth no longer skips like it did before. I'm haven't had time to test the battery life though. I easily would pay $100 for these headphones. They're an absolute steal at $50! If I could give the upgraded version a 6 star review, I absolutely would!

Amazing!! Updated**
Entry level, but you would never guess that after wearing them for a while. I have a big head and ears, was looking for over the ears that would fit. These work perfectly. They sound really good. Paired to my surface and my phone. Battery is super efficient. Microphone for talking, everyone says i sound clear, but the people around me sound, just as clear. Could be based on the mic location. Easy choice buy. Great price. I use them off and on, will travel with them, highly recommended if your new to wireless headphones. Edit 2/25/19 Still going strong. Sync issues are easily fixable by turning it off and on again. Paired to nearly everything in my house with ease (5+ divices). I can wear them for hours, over my big head and medium sized ears. I read another comment that said the ear cups were too small, but was contacted from the company to get bigger ear muffs. Thats great! Another reason to love these headphones. Again... very entry level sound quality, but I have not had any problem enjoying my tones or videos. You'd have to be an audio purest to really complain about the quality in the sounds. Still HIGHLY RECOMMENDED if you are new to the wireless headphone market. Edit 4/23/2019 Ran into some issues and determined that it is the Bluetooth connection failing to disconnect from the last device when switching to another device. TO FIX THIS. BE SURE TO PROPERLY DISCONNECT FROM THE AVANTREE HEADPHONES IN YOUR BLUETOOTH MANAGER ON YOUR COMPUTER OR PORTABLE DEVICE. THEN CONNECT TO YOUR NEW DEVICE. This has worked flawlessly for a few days now, and the headphones have become even more reliable. Again, I wear these things everyday while at the office. I feel like this is inherently a problem with Bluetooth, as I have seen such issues on many different platforms with. (microphones and keyboards.. but not mice... mice just work... which is odd). I agree, this could be the particular hardware that Avantree is using, but if you're like me and you bounce between mulitple devices, it can be annoying when it takes several minutes to connect to the next device... but disconnecting manually has removed this issue. Update 11/24/22 Picture added. starting to show it's milage after all these years. What a great purchase.

Quality for the Low Price
I am currently on my 3rd pair and absolutely love these headphones. Don't get me wrong, it is not because that these headphones have a small lifespan that I am on my 3rd pair, it's quite the opposite. Too Long;Didn’t Read: Outstanding Battery Life, Manufactured to last, Great Bluetooth Range, Exceptional Headset, Phenomenal Customer Service, Great Quality for the Price. Only downside was it was hard to adjust the headband initially, but once you adjust them they stay put, which is a plus if you exercise with them. I bought my first pair February 2016 as I was looking for some Bluetooth headphones to remove the inconvenience of wired earphones/headphones. After doing some research and looking at the reviews, I bought these headphones. The moment I turned them on and connected it to my phone, I fell in love. I wore them daily and listened to music & audio books, with them, any chance I got. After a month, I was on spring break so I went home for a visit. During my visit I lent the headphones to my little sister. She also loved them and wanted them badly, so I gave them to her. She still has her pair and they still work well. After giving her my headphones, I decided to cheat on Avantree, which I regret, and purchase another highly reviewed pair of bluetooth headphones, the August EP650s. These did not last as long as I thought they would. Comparing the August EP650s to the Avantree headphones, the Avantree headphones outperformed the EP650s in ergonomics, battery life, durability, and bluetooth range. I did like the ability to fold the EP650s though. I did purchase insurance for these headphones and was able to get a full refund when they finally gave out. I, however, did not plan on purchasing another pair of EP650s. After the EP650s, I decided to go back to my roots and purchase some Symphonized wood wired earphones. Loved these earphones, the sound was rich, I could wear them for hours, and they looked really nice. The only downside was the wires, it felt like they were always in the way when I was on the move. After some good solid months of putting them in my pocket, tugging and bending the wires, the earphones finally gave out. The Symphonized headphones gave out a few weeks before spring break 2017, so I decided to wait and take my time choosing my next pair of earphones/headphones. However, this year I didn’t make any plans and was dead from my finals so I just wanted to “relax” back home- or so I thought. It was when I was back home that my mom asked me if I could repaint my little brother’s room. I said sure why not, but for those who don’t know me, I need music to get through tedious tasks or else I get bored and stop working. I asked my sister if I could borrow her, “my”, headphones. Honestly, if I didn’t have music I probably wouldn’t have been able to finish, but that's not what this review is about. The headphones, my god, I have forgotten how awesome these headphones were. I was working on painting the room at least 8-10 hours a day for 3 days. Now it was just me doing this job. It included removing the furniture, removing posters, laying down the painters tarp, plastering up holes, putting painters tape, painting the room, and then putting everything back. These headphones lasted all 3 days without needing a recharge. I could hear my music clearly, the weight and padding made it comfortable to wear for long hours, and there were no wires to get in the way of work, overall great headphones. It was May 2017 when I bought my second pair. These lasted me all till the end of January 2018, but in all fairness I was using them everyday for 8-12 hours. I used them while exercising, while walking through campus, while studying, while cleaning, anytime I wasn’t talking to someone I would put them on. The thing that gave out was the battery, the headphones could no longer hold a charge after so many charging cycles. I talked to customer service and received a new pair of headphones for free, as these were still covered by the warranty. The customer service was in itself phenomenal. I was connected to an actual person within minutes, the problem was explained and understood quickly, and the matter was taken care of almost instantly. I do not plan on buying other headphones as I think these are the best ones I have come across, especially for the price.

Great battery life - Not so great sound
I debated with myself for a while on how many stars to give this product. I have only owned it for a week but I feel I have used it enough to form a solid opinion. First off the build quality is quite good. The headphones feel solid and they should last a while. This was a concern of mine because the last pair of Bluetooth headphones I bought only lasted about 6 months. I am very gentle with my headphones and it was disappointing. The Avantree's definitely aren't as solid as my V-Moda Crossfades but they are in a totally different price bracket. Second is comfort. I don't like on-ear headphones because they cause my ears to hurt after a short while. I have used many over-ear headphones that still caused my ears to hurt because the pads were not deep enough or large enough. I am happy to say that the Avantree's do not suffer from these problems. I can wear them for hours at a time with no discomfort. Third is Battery life. This was high on my list of concerns as the last bluetooth headset I bought was severely lacking in this area. I could not get through a day without charging. The Avantree's have far surpassed my expectations in this department. Since I received them a week ago I have not even plugged them into charge. I have used them 5-6 hours each day and the battery indicator for the headphones that shows up on my iPhone still reads mostly full. At this point it is so much better than the last pair of Bluetooth headphones I had that I don't care what the numbers are. The fact that I can use them for a full week without worrying about having to plug them in at my lunch break is great. Battery life is the best quality these headphones have. That brings me to sound quality. I will preface this by labeling myself an audiophile. I have worked in the A/V industry for many years and I also work as a sound engineer for live concerts as well as recording. I have a pretty discerning ear and I have experience with and have owned some very nice headphones and speakers. I try to take Amazon reviews with a grain of salt especially when it comes to judging the sound quality of something like headphones. With no offense directed at any of the other reviewers of this product I do believe that most of them have not really experienced what high quality headphones sound like. These Avantree headphones do not offer high quality sound. There is a significant hump in the lower midrange that makes everything sound boxy and male voices boomy. It is not a pleasant effect. There are many headphones out there that have their own sound signature and there is nothing wrong with that. I own a pair of V-Moda Crossfades which are heavy on the bass by design but without sounding boomy or boxy. The high end of the Avantree's is fine. It's not harsh or grating on the ears. With that said I don't really care that the sound quality is not great. I bought these headphones for use while working. I work as a carpenter and these headphones provide adequate noise isolation from power tools and I only use them to listen to podcasts so the sound quality was not a top priority with this purchase. No wire and awesome battery life make these headphones a good buy for this application but don't expect amazing high quality music reproduction.

The cups are very soft and comfortable, even on my fairly wide head
I've never written a customer review before, but I'm so impressed with these headphones that I felt I needed to. When these came in, I unpackaged them, read the sticker on the side of the headset to figure out how to pair them, and had them up and running with my iPhone in moments. I listened to music for over 2 hours straight on the factory charge and still never saw the low battery light before I ended-up plugging them in. During use, I was able to wander into the kitchen to make myself lunch while the phone was still in the living room and the signal never even got crackly. I even ran out to a detached garage to get something and didn't lose the signal (although it did get a little crackly, which is to be expected). The cups are very soft and comfortable, even on my fairly wide head. For the lower mid-range price, this is an amazing set of headphones. They make calls with ease, have good sound quality, and they're better at canceling-out background noise than I ever would have expected. The person I called did say it sounded a little tinny on their end, like I was on speakerphone, but that seems reasonable given that the mic is on the ear-piece and not a boom mic (so it essentially is a speakerphone). If you're looking for better outgoing sound quality, perhaps a model with a boom mic would be better. I have not tried them in a noisy room to see if they pick-up background noise or wind. One more thing to note is that the indicator light and indicator sounds are better than most Bluetooth devices I've used. It uses a combination of red and blue blinks in different combinations and scale-up, scale-down sounds to let you know what's happening (turning on, turning, off, pairing, low-battery, etc.). I have paired them with a Mac laptop but have not used them for a Skype or Facetime call yet, but I expect they'll perform just as well as they did with the iPhone. The only disadvantages I found were very slight, but worth mentioning in case they're a deal-breaker for you: - The controls are designed to be on the LEFT ear. As a righty, I would have found it more intuitive to be on the right ear. You can swap them, of course, but the volume-up would point backwards instead of forwards. - There are only 3 buttons, labeled volume-up, volume-down, and a multi-function button with an "answer phone" icon. All 3 buttons can be used for different things depending on context and how long you press it. For example, the MFB is used to answer, turn on/off, pair, pause music, etc. The up/down are used for volume up/down (when holding them), previous/next song (pressing quickly), or to wake your digital assistant (Siri, OK Google) for voice dialing the phone. This works okay, but it's a lot to remember and waking Siri is a bit awkward if you're also listening to music.
