A little goes a long way
Brought this for a 33cm wooden hamster wheel. It did three thick coats and seems to have worked really well. Easy to use and the small pot goes a long way

Ugly handles to lovely handles :-)
I bought this to paint the ugly green door handles in my new flat; they're very large and stuck out like a lot of sore thumbs! Unfortunately the only solution was to paint them as they can't be changed, so I tried this chrome colour and I'm delighted with the results. I gave them 3 coats each for the best finish, doing one coat a day on all 9 of them; the paint dries very quickly and the smooth finish makes them look really nice. You'd never know they were that hideous green; you can see from the pictures how they turned out.

It does what it says!
Used this product to waterproof two wooden hamster wheels. It was easy to apply, though needs around 3 or so coats to become fully waterproof. It was very satisfying once the product was finished. I wish there was more in the pot, but it does the job (and gave me around 2-3 coats per wheel!)

Colour B14 'Hot Pink' is nothing like amazon pic, or lable colour on top of pot :(
Colour of B14 'Hot Pink' paint is nothing like the colour shown for Amazon sample, which almost looks neon.On receipt the paint inside the pots, isn't the same colour as the lable on top (see pic)After much shaking the paint looks more 'Candy Floss' coloured than the more shocking pink I expected, and isn't suitable for the items I wished to paint.I can't return item either - disappointed :(

Had to use a lot
Although I really like the fact this is non-toxic and suitable for pets (DIY hamster projects) I found that I had to apply at least 3 coats to a little wooden platform before I could notice any difference. The wood wasn't particularly porous, and the idea behind me treating with this was to protect from urine so the surface would essentially become "wipe clean" I did have to use a lot.

Very poor and uneven coverage with the new water-based formulation
Nowhere near as good as it was since they changed it to a water-based formulation. It's now almost impossible to get a good finish as you just can't get rid of the brushmarks. Why can't they just leave a good product alone? It is becoming harder and harder to buy solvent-based paints nowadays and no water-based formulation seems to cover as well as its polyurethane predecessor.

Highly recommended
I use Plastikote for most of my crafts for small animal cages as it's pet safe. The tubs are small (59ml) but a small amount gets the job done. Just ensure to thoroughly shake the tub before opening as a couple of mine have gone watery when first openedOverall the colours are accurate and the paint is easy to work with

Looks good once on
I bought this tub of brass paint to paint a 3D printed model. I actually thought I was buying Humbrol style solvent based enamel but this is a water based formula instead, so it didn't stick terribly well to the PLA of the model. However I persisted by adding many very thin layers of the paint and by about the fourth layer it actually started to look pretty good. In retrospect I would have spray-primed the model first but it actually turned out well in the end even without it. As a bonus the water-based formula is better on your lungs and brushes.
