Very solid design
I use these on a pair of double swinging doors into my wood shop. It has only been a few days since I installed them, but they are SO much nicer than fussing with wedges. They were easy to install and will work well on slightly sloped floors as they have small notches allowing them to lock at nearly any point of their vertical travel. They are also robustly built and I believe they will provide many years of 'Doorman' service.

Holding the door open
Great for holding the door leading to the house from the garage. Easier to bring groceries inStrong and works well

Good door stop, after alteration made
I purchased this door stop to replace my worn-out door stop. I went with this design since I wouldn't need to stoop over to apply or release the door stop. The design seemed practical. Once the item arrived, I noticed a major design flaw that would need to be addressed before installation. The main body is made from cast aluminum without any reinforcement behind the 2 lower screw holes. I did see 1 reviewer mention that the screws pulled through when he tightened them during installation. To avoid the problem, I used an epoxy putty and to reinforce the area behind the 2 lower screw holes. I did install 2 small tubes within the epoxy for the mounting screws to pass through. In hind-site, I probably could have used an appropriate size drill bit or rod to form the epoxy around., then remove the drill bit or rod before the epoxy cured. I let the epoxy cure for a few days before I installed the door stop. With the modification made, I had no problem tightening down on the mounting screws and the door stop is solidly mounted. Note: I used sand paper on the backside of the door stop, by the screw holes, to rough-up the area so the epoxy putty had a better area to bond to. Also, while the epoxy putty was still pliable, I extended and retracted the door stop plunger, then used a small screw driver, to mold the epoxy away from the plunger shaft so there wouldn't be anything to interfere with the operation of the door stop.

It’s truly HEAVY DUTY
I actually ended up returning them because they were *so* big. They seemed like great quality, sturdily built, good quality materials, but definitely overkill for most residential applications. In an industrial or commercial setting I’m sure they’d be great, but in my laundry room, it looked bulky and out of place, and bordered on being an eyesore. No fault of the product, just poor choice for my application.

This door stop works, period. It is clunky looking on the door but was easy to install.
