Uplifting and entertaining!
My heart broke for Tyler when he was left at the altar in the last book in the series because he’s a wonderful, sweet and gentle character but he just wasn’t the right guy for Lilly. When Anna and Felty open their home to their widowed granddaughter Beth and her young son the story tackles the serious subject of emotional abuse and Beth’s refusal to ever trust a man again. I loved Tyler’s relationship with toddler Toby, his calm demeanor and his respect and admiration for Beth’s mothering skills and her care of Anna and Felty. The story teaches many lessons on courage and forgiveness and Anna and Felty are wonderful and heartwarming characters who are always uplifting and entertaining.

E-book Gift from a friend with Huckleberry Christmas being a 5 Star Book
Huckleberry Christmas is another amazing story by Jennifer Beckstrand. Anna and Felty Helmuth were successful with matchmaking two other grandchildren so now it's time for their widowed great granddaughter, Beth, to be matched up with Tyler Yoder. Tyler lived in their community and Beth was coming for a visit with her young two year old son, Toby. Toby is immediately drawn to Tyler after Tyler had to stop suddenly when running over him in the lane. Beth viewed the incident with other thoughts and did not respond will to Tyler's actions.Beth had been beaten down by her late husband, Amos, and his family after his death had taken advantage of Beth by making her feel guilty so she sacrificed and cared for her mother-in-law--who did not appreciate anything she did for her. Thus, Beth had determined never to marry again. Tyler had been jilted by the girl he had been dating but was drawn to Beth and especially to Toby who called him "mommy". Tyler encouraged and uplifted Beth every opportunity he had. Will Beth open her heart to Tyler? After all Tyler had proposed but Beth turned him away. When her late husband's twin comes to Bouduel, WI to carry Beth to Indiana what will happen as Tyler suffered some blows by Isaac's fists when he had came unexpectedly the first time.Read this most delightful story to discover the antics of Anna and Felty with making sure this matchmaking scheme for Beth and Tyler will come to fruition. Readers will fall in love with Anna and Felty and most of the characters if Huckleberry Christmas. Of course, there are a large aware of emotions since there is love from Beth's family but some hatred, envy and deceitfulness from Amos' family.I rated this book 5 stars so be sure and purchase a copy for an adventurous read that you won't want to stop reading till you are finished.

Ten
This series deserves a ten. Anyone who just reads one book from this series will enjoy and call in love with the grandparents. I have read this whole series and hope it never ends. I thank the author for this series and the honey sister series. I can't say enough about these books. There is also a brothers series. You would never be disappointed in any of these books.

A powerful romance of boundaries
I think I'm taking a shining to this author as she's fairly local to my area, but she really is my favorite Amish romance author. This follows the events of Tyler losing his fiancée to his best friend. He's over the event, grateful for their happiness, but wondering what is in store for him. He meets the lovely widow Beth and her son and figures since they get along their friendship might create a satisfactory marriage. But Beth refuses, her emotionally troubled marriage having her convinced she will never enter marriage again. While it of course has the fun of the rest of the series, more real issues are tackled. Can Beth recover from her abusive marriage? Can she forgive? Oh, will Tyler and Beth wind up together? It's a strong, well-told romance that also takes the time to delve into some very spiritual issues and properly discuss them and resolve them with the plot. It's more powerful than I expected.

Loved it!
This is book 3 in The Matchmakers of Huckleberry Hill series. You could read it as a stand alone but please don’t. It has become one of my favorite series!Author Jennifer Beckstrand has created a wonderful Amish couple with Felty and Anna. They make me laugh, and they make me sigh with their warm hearts. Beckstrand has managed to bring depth to her characters in a unique way.Between matchmaking antics, hurt and forgiveness, and of course second chances, this book kept me reading quickly to see what would come next. I highly recommend it!

Wonderful
Where do I begin? I can't remember the last book that made me laugh out loud like I did with Huckleberry Christmas. The flashes of humor were so refreshing. Don't get me wrong, this was not a comedy. There were some sad and difficult portions that were handled with grace. But my oh my the sense of whimsy this author shows is priceless. This is my first book by her and I have already downloaded more!
