I honestly love this product! I almost took down a star for the fact that the metal part of the box fits so tight that you can’t take it in and out to dump like more expensive ones. I found it’s pretty sound resistant. Other reviews said it was loud. I was worried the cross bar wasn’t padded enough but it’s honestly a non issue. Would rec for the price point

Everywhere I looked for a wooden knock box I'd see prices of $40+ and you'd have to supply your own metal knockbox insert. This box and insert are both very nice quality. The insert does slide around a bit in the box but I added some adhesive-backed felt pads from the dollar store and now it's nice and snug. I also added pads to the bottom because the wood can bang rather loudly on a kitchen countertop. Despite the slightly loose fit and finish, the price is more than fair and bumps it from a 4 to a 5.

Effective cafe style and quality worth it!

There are 3M adhesive dots included and also 4 silicone strips. They meant to be noise reducing and to prevent the box from sliding around. I wasn't thrilled that one corner had a scuff, leaving raw wood exposed but it's not visible so doesn't detract from the appearance. I think the strips are meant to go around the top but they don't fit, so I put them on the bottom and didn't use the dots. You're banging on the bar so it's not like it's going to do much for noise reduction anyway. Overall I like the look but the stainless insert slides around in the bamboo box. It's like they aren't really designed to go together. The insert seems like it's meant to be part of a steamer table and the box is not really deep enough to keep it from moving around. Like it's slightly too wide and slightly too shallow. I like it anyway and it's functional.

My family drinks a lot of coffee including espresso. Before I ever used an espresso knock box, I was always running to the trash can to dump the grounds. I had gotten a different brand knock box, which didn't last. Then we got the KYONANO Knock Box. This is great. Heavy duty wooden box and removable stainless steel insert. I can say we use this multi times per day without fail. Easy to clean and we just pop the insert into the dishwasher and wipe off the wood box before we store. I say worth it!!

Best price for a wood Knock Box and quite good looking, but. Manufacturer has attempted to solve the noise issue by putting four strips of hard silicone inside the box. As soon as the insert is fully pushed in the bamboo box, which is only pinned without glue, it separates at two corners.I solved the problem by glue and clamp and some 1/2”x1/8” weather striping I had on hand. Two strips inside the box is enough. They also included some dot adhesive feet which I decided to replace with the weather striping also.

I didn't know what a knock box was until my partner added this to their wish list, but now I use it every day. It's great quality and very easy to clean. Just remember to empty the grounds every few days or else they get moldy!

These had to be custom made back in the day. Glad I found one for our espresso makers.
