Fast, Effective, and Quieter Than Expected
I’ve tried several epilators over the years, and the Braun Silk-épil 7 really stands out. It removes hair quickly and efficiently—most areas were smooth after just a couple of passes, which saved a lot of time compared to other models I’ve used. One of the biggest surprises was the noise level. While epilators aren’t silent, this one is noticeably quieter than most, making the process much more comfortable overall. The pain level was also very manageable, especially with regular use. I also really appreciate the variety of attachments. They’re easy to swap out and make the device versatile for different areas and preferences. The build quality feels solid, and it’s comfortable to hold and maneuver. Overall, this is a high-quality epilator that delivers excellent results with less noise and effort. I’m very happy with it and would absolutely recommend it.

glad I got this & didn’t give up on it
My first epilating was with the attachment for the Iluminage Touch, which was AWFUL. (My natural hair color is strawberry blonde, so for it to actually work I needed to wax or epilate. I am absolutely terrible at waxing and it is so messy). Epilating is pretty much foolproof and not messy. After a handful of tries with the Iluminage attachment and getting frustrated, I did some online recon and got this one. Actually wishing I got the more expensive one with the swivel head, but I didn’t want to invest that kind of money on something I was worried I might abandon. This was immediately a million times better than a ‘cheap’ crappy epilator However, no way around it, your first time is going to HURT LIKE A MF-ER imo not *so* bad that you’ll be like “nope, never again” But it hurts a surprising amount. Even if you’re expecting pain, it is still a surprising amount of pain. It’s extremely brief though, such an odd sensation. After a very small patch it’s like JFC I gotta stop. But then within minutes you’re like, well nothing hurts so let’s try again <repeat> Down closer to the ankles hurts the most as far as legs go. Armpits hurt the most overall for me. Even more than the bikini line. Heck, my ankle area hurt more than the bikini line (specifically on the thighs. I haven’t braved much of the nether region yet). I did brave my rump cheeks though :’) and that was a breeze surprisingly enough! I see why butt tattoos are popular, they probably hurt way less than the one I got. Eventually when the hair grows back, it is DRAMATICALLY easier ^_^ Some spots it did kinda feel like a spicy electric razor; honestly I think those were hairs the Iluminage broke off instead of actually pulled out, so it was their “first time” but they were few and spaced out which makes all the difference. Just don’t try to do this if you have any fast approaching deadline, you will *definitely* need to take your time with it. I chipped away at 1 leg over the course of days. Then the next leg over a few days. My first armpit took WEEKS to get 100% done. What I’ve learned from my left armpit, if you’re especially patient and also extremely sensitive to pain, if you shave first and then just do a little as it starts to grow back enough, shave the rest of the area and repeat over and over again - that’s gotta be the most you can reduce the pain. Since the hairs grow back at different speeds, you aren’t getting the full brunt of ALL of them being ripped out at once. That’s going to take ages if you’re doing your whole body that way, and I don’t have that kind of patience and I didn’t find it overwhelmingly painful. Just had to take a lot of breaks, a lot of “calling it a day” and just keeping at it daily until it was all done. Now that THAT phase is over, I wish I discovered this years ago!! I would get horrible razor burn on my upper thighs, that would last until the stubble was back. I never wore shorts, hated swimming even with the bathing suits that have the little skirt. There was the little red dots the first time epilating, but it cleared up in about 24 hours, and each time epilating the little red dots got less and less and cleared up faster. I have hyperpigmentation in my armpits and inner upper thigh area, and already noticing that starting to get better! Surprising perk. There have been a few ingrown hairs but not any gross painful ones, and that’s probably my fault for not having a quality exfoliating scrub or a dry brush when I started this. I strongly disliked how shaving made my showers take longer, wasting water, wasting time. I’m also trying to get nice, split-end-free hair and taking a faster shower helps with that. So pro tips from my journey with this, get a decent dry brush and use it on your non-shower days, followed up with a gentle moisturizer. On your shower days, use a quality scrub like any of the popular ones at Sephora. They’re worth the money, the cheaper ones don’t hold a candle to sol de Janeiro bum bum body scrub, KP bump eraser, etc. And again moisturizing after the shower. My legs and armpits are smoother than ever and stay that way for sooo long. It’s still really trippy. 10/10 better than shaving or waxing :D

Expected better results for the price
Update 1/2025: Over the four years I've used this, I've grown to appreciate it for what I can use it for which is my whole bikini area (including perineum) and underarms. Still no bueno on the legs and arms and it may be because the hairs are finer, I'm left stubbly. Still very painful on the bikini area but after an hour or two hour bath and some coconut oil to moisturize before getting in the bath, it's not as painful. Instead of once a month, I'll epilate once a week or two since fewer, shorter hairs are less painful and takes just a few minutes. I still get angry at this thing for causing pain but I'm left with smooth underarms (epilator doesn't hurt as much in this area) and ladybits. I'll probably buy another. +Easy to use +Decent charge time and holds a charge for weeks when not in use +The pain is tolerable once the skin gets kind of numb to the pain (takes me a few minutes) +I don't use it but I appreciate the option to use it under water +Easy and comfortable to hold +It can be used for the lady bits and perineum. I removed all of the hair. It hurts but I numb the skin using the massaging head and then going back over without any attachments. No irritation or ingrowns -It hurts but for the bikini area, I do prefer this to waxing (waxing leaves my skin tender) -For the hundred bucks I paid for this, I'm highly disappointed in the fact it does not pull hair from the root. It breaks it -On my legs and arms there's stubble no matter what so I have to go back to razors for a touchably smooth finish -The hairs fly everywhere -If the hair is too long it gets caught under the blade -So many passes need to be made just to achieve stubble status and that's where it becomes time consuming (& ultimately a waste of money) I'm keeping it because it for some reason works ok on my pubic area and the hair has grown back slower there. Ingrown hairs are a tiny problem for the arms and legs, I may have seen three total. Stubble still showed up a few days later, maybe sooner on the private area but it wasn't itchy or too prickly. I just see no benefit using it on my arms/legs when they won't be smooth and it did nothing to make my strawberry legs less noticeable.

Works Great, No More Stubble!
Got this at my wife's request.... She is totally happy with it! She said it took a little time to get used to it, some small amount of discomfort when first using it. After a few times, she said it is just as comfortable as using a razor. And it leaves her skin smooth and soft for a long time. The main difference between this and using a razor, the hairs take a long time to grow back, and when they do, you can hardly see any. The unit literally pulls the hairs out, like plucking, but so fast, your body doesn't have time to respond with any discomfort! The wide head covers a larger area and saves time. The included storage pouch is a nice convenience when packing it up for travel. She loves the convenience of being able to use it in the shower, and the light helps while using it. She threw away the razors! Absolutely a great value, and a high quality product! .... "Happy Wife, Happy Life!"

I'm a first time Epilator user, I was scared, but I was so tired of shaving! After an old roomie highly recommended an Epilator I decided I should give it a go. I did a lot of back and forth on which model to get and finally settled on this one partly because it came with the bikini trimmer which seemed like a great extra product also seemed like I may as well spend the extra money and make sure I'm getting top of the line. No issues with product or shipping. First time use was rough, especially underarm- pain, sweat and pain. But it does get easier! Your hair grows in thinner so it hurts less when removing it (in my experience). I love going days with no stubble! Wish I'd bought this years ago! I have very fine leg hair and am finding it doesn't get grabbed as easily, might also be a bit short at times. I just do a touch up shave with a razor if I want to make sure I'm super even and smooth. I think my favorite is having a bikini line that doesn't grow back fast and has far less irritation, shaving always left me with a lot of razor burn. Yes this is painful, first few times I got a decent amount of broken skin and was sore to the touch, much like waxing I'd imagine-- I've never had any waxing done! I do suggest for first time use go slow, take your time, take breaks, eat snacks! Know it will get easier! And it will be soooooooo worth it! Get it now while in isolation so you can have a great hairless figure come the day we are allowed outside again ;P Seriously if you dislike body hair and shave daily like I did you will love this product, just get over the fear! Try it and tell your friends, more people should use these!

Love it! I used to sugar myself (which is still my gold standard for hair removal; the exfoliation and hair removal is second to none) but it was messy and time-consuming, and I never really kept up with it because it was such an effort. Accounting for these factors, this little device easily wins as my preferred method of hair removal! Ease of use: there is virtually no mess (other than baby hairs), so I just use it in the shower after drying off or over a towel. Cleaning the baby hairs out of the device takes less than 30s. Also, without sticky fingers, I can easily put on a show or a podcast to make the time go by. Time: I can epilate my legs and bikini plus in about 1–1.5hrs (depending on the level of growth). If I exfoliate well before treatment, my results tend to last 2 weeks before I feel any growth, and at least 2 more before it is visible. At this stage, I can usually epilate the tiny hairs (2mm), which is much shorter than I could successfully remove with sugar wax. Of course, this will vary for everybody, but I find removing that fine growth almost entirely painless, which is another plus for the epilator. Pain: It hurt the first time since I had very full growth, but subsequent sessions have been relatively painless. When I sugared myself, I experienced a lot of discomfort spreading the sugar wax on as it tugged at the hairs before I even ripped them out, and I hated bracing myself for each pull! This device is more like shaving, but with a mild prickling sensation. I usually put on a show or a podcast to distract myself from any discomfort. Bikini area: Everybody’s anatomy, hair thickness, and pain tolerance is different, but I find with patience, a pillow, and a mirror I can get very very close to a full Brazilian with the epilator alone, then tweeze the remainder. To me, this has been a huge selling point. I can get very very close to the results of sugaring with the ease of shaving. Legs: I have finer hair on my legs which are prone to breakage, but I find if I take my time I can most of it from the root. Cost: the upfront cost is less than going to a salon one time, and while it costs a little more than purchasing sugar wax/wax pellets and a warmer, there are no recurring costs. I have easily gotten my money’s worth this summer alone. Overall: like other methods of hair removal from the follicle, there is always going to be some breakage and discomfort, however I have been satisfied on both fronts. Unlike sugaring, this device does not exfoliate your skin, so if you want the same silky results, you must do that step first (and continue to exfoliate to avoid ingrown hairs!). However, the minimal pain, mess, and learning curve have made this device my new favorite method of hair removal! I absolutely recommend!

Realmente funciona.
