Biased/Insufficient Story-Telling
This game has a wonderful concept at play. You get to play as one of the most popular LOTR characters, Aragon and you additionally have the option to play as Gandalf if you play Co-op. I love the idea behind the game. I like the colors, the weapons and the detailing many of the main characters. The game can get quite addicting because you get to hack and slash opponents to bits. The game is cartoony and not gore-related at all. I think it is a very good game for children into fantasy-lore.Now, the story that is told by Sam Gamgee must be taken as a grain of salt. If you're into The Lord of the Rings at all you will realize that the story over exaggerates certain aspects and misses other key critical points --the key being Lothlorien and the breaking of the Fellowship at Amen Hen. These two areas are crucial to a complete story-telling of Aragorn's adventures but Gamgee skips them and pays little to no attention with Celeborn, Galadriel, or Boromir. In short, this game does not do justice for an ambitious Lord of the Rings project. It really ticked me off.I am an avid fan of the books and the films and that is why I chose this game. I was really glad to see that you got to battle with the Fellowship in Moria and that was very exciting. But the time spent with the group of 9 was very very short. I expected a lot more. There is no Pass of Caradhras, Misty Mountain exploit and no Amen Hen/Emyn Muil or Lorien adventure at all. The game, as I have said before like a broken record, skips, skips, skips way too much.Overall, I think the game is good because of the intriguing picture, music, and game experience. But when you're playing the game, you can't help but think that something just doesn't sit right.

Aragorn's Quest PS3
This is a good game and is fun. It has solid graphics. I played with the PS3 controller and had no problems. Sound is terrific, as well. I had no problems with the camera.Aragorn's Quest is an action game. The levels are filled with baddies to fight. There are collectibles to be found. The Fellowship Tokens are great because they increase the attack and defense of the four Fellowship members of Aragorn, Gandalf, Gimli and Legolas. Player One is Aragorn, and optional Player Two is Gandalf. Lore collectibles add to the story. Artefacts may also be found and purchased.Aragorn has several attacks, including sword, shield, spear and bow. Near the end I found myself using spear and sword, since there are some big battles to fight! Aragorn even gets to fight from horseback a few times. Combat is varied and a lot of fun.Trophies for the PS3 are 9 bronze, 15 (!) silver, 5 gold and 1 platinum for a total of 30 trophies.Aragorn's Quest is a fun game. It has no gore. It was a lot of fun! Best of all, it is Lord of the Rings! Awesome!

Good for all levels
The "practice" parts are great for young kids. My 5 year-old granddaughter loves Lord of the Rings, and this game lets her be a part of it--well, sort of. She gets to be a hobbit or Gandolf and do various things. She loves it. My son and my son-in-law play the actual game and like it a lot. So it really is a good game for all ages and levels of ability. A MUST for LOTR fans.

OK for 7-10 year olds
Very simple and basic game. Good for little kids but don't expect any thrills. At least it follows the story of TLOTR pretty faithfully,

Games apparently does not work w/o PS3 Move
We are new to PS3 in our house, having enjoyed Wii for years. Our daughter saved her own money to buy the PS3 and this was her first game. She does not have Move and I'm not sure she wants it. When she tried to play the game it would not work without Move. IF it does, it doesn't come with directions on how to play it with just PS3.
