Medieval Warrior 9th Century Viking Handmade Handforged Heavy Duty Real Sword Comes with Scabbard (BK-217)

I got this a few years ago and haven’t gotten around to writing a review but I will say that I love this blade. The beautiful brass work and the sheath alone make it stand out. Blade taper is a bit off but fixable. It polished nicely and fits sheath perfectly.When you pull it from the sheath for the first time you can feel the quality as everything feels smooth and perfect. The only thing I would recommend it perhaps making it a hand and a half so you have room for your off hand for power. The weight is a bit heavy for a single handed blade but you can still grip the pommel like a hand and a half for added power. From water bottles to bamboo it don’t stand a chance…cuts like butter.Most Viking era swords were between 2-4 pounds for a single handed sword. This one weighs in over 4 pounds and in a real fight would fatigue you quickly versus a lighter blade. Again, add another inch or two on the grip and you’ll be swinging for the fences.I’m building a display for this particular sword so I can enjoy it all the time…and the wife is okay with it!

Just received as a present from my wife. It is an exceptional piece. Scabbard is well put together with quality leather and snug fitting on the blade. The sword itself is gorgeous. Blade is well polished and very sharp. Has a wonderful resonance and pitch to it when struck. Proves that it is heat treated and tempered properly. Handle is a tight fit and the brass fittings are well detailed and quite beautiful, as is the carved wooden grip. It was delivered much earlier than expected and was oiled and clearly taken care of prior to shipping. I have several swords and weapons of low quality for decorative use but this is truly a weapon fit for a northman. Certainly worth the money. I love it.

really nice sword for the price, not exactly razor sharp but sharp enough, nice balance for a blade this size(about 4" in front of the guard). Over all very pleased with it.

The sword wont go into the sheath but the sword is sharp and made perfectly

Sharp and straight blade, nicely detailed hilt, sturdy and well-fitting scabbard. I do not use it for combat so I cannot attest to its efficacy in any real or imagined battle conditions.

At first I looked at this on amazon and didn't trust it at all. It seemed too good to be true. I ended up ordering it though and let me tell you I was impressed. The blade is very sharp and I even tested it out on water bottles and other light cutting materials. The only problem I'm having which is personal is the weight. It is hefty but manageable the only reason I say it's heavy to me is because I usually have lighter blades in my collection I highly recommend this blade!!!

Bent handle and bad blade and to tight sheath

It's a real sword! And it's sharp as all get-out! BE CAREFUL unwrapping it!Fits into the scabbard, no problem. Scabbard appears to be leather over wood.It's rather Heavy, so again - be careful!I am very happy with this purchase!
