The handle on the smaller pan was broken.

I've never used cast iron skillets before so this was all new to me. I love them and then again I don't. I think the one thing I don't like about them is that I can't clean them like I normally would clean a pan. I like to really scrub my pans and make sure I get everything off. Water and a soft scrub just wasn't doing it for me. I did read that I can use kosher salt and may have to try that next time.I do like the sizes though. They aren't overly conducive for a large family like mine. But cooking one meal at a time isn't so bad. I absolutely love the 6" pan as it's perfect for making my tiny dog 1 egg. I have a feeling as I get use to using these pans (and cleaning them) I'll get more use out of them. Right now I just cautiously use them.

I'm really picky with cast iron, and have been using my Grandma's old cast iron dutch oven for years. I was nervous to try a new brand, but these work just as well!The finish and texture on these is really nice. Food cooks well and evenly, so the heat distribution is great.Cast iron takes a bit to get figured out for cleaning and maintaining, but once you have it done right (there are so many great tips online) it is so dependable. You can cook dinner, meats, deserts, bread and so much more with these!It is also really handy to have the different size, and they nest well together so they don't take up much space. I do put paper towel between them while storing them.

We liked the fact that these are preseason pans. When we had used different ones in the past you had to do the seasoning process before use. Here, you can use them right a way and just put a little oil on them as a lubricant for the item that you are preparing.This is the first time we have seen them offered as different sizes which is a boon for picking the right size for the particular items that you are making.Highly recommend these for price and ease of use!

I ordered this set as I liked the various sizes, as I don't always want to get out my huge cast iron skillet when making certain dishes or desserts. I especially like the 6 inch for making desserts or when I am just cooking for myself and not for both of us.

This set of 3 cast iron pans is the best deal I've found. 3 different sizes for different foods. The small one is great for eggs or just frying up something small. The largest pan being 10" is not huge, but it works great for stoves that are a little smaller than normal. I haven't had any issues with the cast iron itself either. Just make sure to season it well the first time and take care of them like usual, they'll last forever!
