Not a professional yoyo master by any means, but this yoyo is great. It’s perfect size just wide enough to make string tricks easier without getting in the way. When I was a kid we only really had Duncan stic yoyos. It’s crazy that you can spend $20 and get something that feels professional. It comes with both responsive and unresponsive bearings so you can really use it however you want. Changing between the two is easy with the included bearing too too. The case ithatnit comes with is a nice addition. Unfortunately this isn’t going to be my last yoyo…, but only because I want to see how all the other colors look when they spin!

I'm happy with the yoyo. I'm a bigginer and the yoyo is heavy enough and of good quality. I am pleased that it came with different string colors and spear bearings. The only reason I gave it a 4 is because the package was damaged and the case was a little bent but I didn't want to wait anymore to own it.

My son decided he wanted to learn how to "walk the dog" with an old yo-yo I had from when I was a kid. Unfortunately, the string was degraded and wouldn't wind very well, so we looked to Amazon Vine for something new. This aluminum option is a great starter yo-yo for him. We kept the responsive bearing installed because he's still a novice, but it only took him half an hour to throw and return consistently. By the end of the day, he was walking the dog and very happy with his achievement. This yo-yo comes with several colorful strings, an unresponsive bearing for more advanced tricks, and a handy zipper case to protect the toy during storage or traveling. Everything you need to get up and running in a new hobby!

I saw the giant image on this product page and assumed it was a diabolo (Chinese yoyo). Turns out I got the scale completely wrong; those are 5" in diameter while this is a standard sized yoyo that's about 2" in diameter. That said, it was one of the happiest mistakes of my week. Years ago as a young lad I was intrigued by yo-yo tricks, especially as demonstrated by the late, great Tommy Smothers. I bought multiple versions, but by that time Duncan had already gone down the road of ass producing its cheap plastic yo-yos rather than maintaining the quality that it once had. As such, I was one of a new generation who wanted to do yo-yo tricks but never could. It turns out all along it wasn't us, it was the yo-yo. If you're looking for the best of the best, you'll want to check out One Drop Yo-yos, based in Eugene Oregon. These are made in Eugene and used by pros—they're universally known as the best yo-yo you can buy with impeccable manufacturing and quality control. They're a premium price, but you get what you pay for. For amateurs like me, this version by MAGICYOYO is a nice, cheaper alternative. It comes with strings and hardware you can use to make it either responsive (what most of us think of when we hear the word yoyo--a tug of the string will send the yoyo back to your hand) or unresponsive (requires a professional move called a "bind" to retract it). It comes with lots of string which is easy to wind onto the yoyo. The instruction manual was a bit hard to understand, but I was able to figure it out. My first try, I did walk the dog and rock the cradle after decades of failing to do it on any Duncan yoyo, even the ones they market as "trick yoyos from the 50s". Overall, I was pretty happy. I suppose at some point I'll graduate to a One Drop, but for now I'm happy learning and practicing on this one.
