It's definitely not a gimmick
I bought this for fun because i saw it on youtube. i was a former PT for equinox san mateo, california. i think if i remember, i was a level 2+ if thats what it was called. sorry its been at least 10 years since i was in america. i currently live in south korea. anyways, i bought this because i thought it would be cool to have something to use as i sit on my computer watching youtube or movies. I can say it definitely increases the girth of your chest and shoulders. i try to do 5 sets of 50 reps at level 4 because i care more about endurance than physical strength. You get a huge burn as you're doing it. your chest gets HUGE after your work out is finished. this is similar to doing chest flys or cable flys. you're not going to increase ORM (one rep max) but it will definitely make you look good.

Worth the price
Quality built. All metal. The piston dial is nice and the piston itself runs smooth. If you're out of shape like me, start low. I started at 3 and a week later am up to 4. Slow and steady. I like it because I can do this while watching tv in my chair or at my desk during work when listening in on a call. Very convenient. All without having to "suit up" to go to a gym. Or have some bulky weight bench.

Good workout and built well
I have had a couple other strengtheners similar in design. I like this one that seems solidly built, priced right. However, the arm length is a bit shorter than my other ones and I'm not quite sure yet whether I like it more or less. It is just different. Also, instead of a separate plastic piece to put into the bottom of the handles to hold it together; this one has a built-in piece in each handle that connects to hold it together. It is also good and bad...no need to take the piece off and find where you put it, then put it in...this has them always there, but it is a little tricky to put them in a remove plus they sometimes get in the way when using the device. I still like it and definitely feel the burn. (I am using it on 10 & 12 currently)

Stupidly Fun to Use
Easy to use ready to go, love it like my set of dumbbells. An excellent addition to my home gym. A cost-effective savvy addition to your workout routine. My only complaint is that the clips that hold the twister together to save space tends to be in the way but nothing like a few rubber bands to solve that problem. Extremely happy with the purchase love using my twister.:D

Big Junk!!!!!
It's a waste of time and money, broke after 6 weeks, leaking oil, I strongly expect to return! Zero Star absolutely! Why I have to rate at least one Star to continue?

Falls apart on higher weight
It makes an impact it's not a replacement for weight training or push-ups but it's a good add on that makes a decent impact if you set your weight right I'm pushing 17-18 and I notice bolts get loose and a handle did fall off but if they made a better version of it I would 100% buy it it's easy kind of fun to see progress and makes a decent impact

Love it!
Love this thing, does exactly what it says. The adjustment knob only shows even numbers, it's hard to say if the in-betweens make a difference or if only the even numbers change it. I also don't have any tools to confirm the resistance really goes up to 440lb, but I have my doubts. While my sweet spot is around 4-6 right now, I tested it on the highest setting and was able to put some body weight on it and push it closed, and I'm only about 155lb. It's still great for me because it can go much harder than I can at the moment, and I suspect either it'll wear down or I'll just get bored of it before I'm comfortable with the highest setting. (Not because it feels cheap or anything, just because it's gonna be a WHILE).
