This "Model 13" Build It Yourself Action Figure arrives in a small box with all pieces and building guide. There are different sets of hands to hold the different weapons included. I do really like this "Build It Yourself/ All Pieces Included Model 13 Action Figure", and having my other one helps to use it an additional building reference. What helps is if you separate all of the black and blue, (or whatever color you have), pieces first. Then in the black pieces pile, separate all of the hands and weapons and put those away from the black building pieces since you won't need those until the very end. Then separate all of the identical pieces, note that several will be in pairs because the figure has two sides, (bilateral), for arms, legs. Pay close attention that some pieces look similar but are not, so I found it best to look ahead in the picture guide to make sure all of those pieces were there too. Do the same with the color pieces. Each diagram and number equals a finished body part. It takes time, patience. and some muscle to press pieces, but the result should end up exactly as described and like my other action figure as shown in the pictures. My partner is building mine and will finish when he has more time. I look forward to having it finished. They are not meant for harsh playing, but meant to model and pose and be played or moved with gentleness. I didn't see in the description that it was a "build it yourself action figure", but it definitely is. Because of the small pieces, precision and patience, I think it would be best suited for an older child and adults. Two thumbs up!!

I don’t normally write reviews, but my experience with this product as so bad I will! I had to choose a star , but if I could I would not even give it one star. The material was very poor quality. We had pieces break as we were trying to put it together. The instructions are complicated but we worked through this aspect. Part 3 and Part 4 of the body were impossible to put together. The sizes for the pieces did not match.

This buildable action figure kit is pretty cool. It's quite poseable, and it comes with a variety of weapons and swappable hands. I like how it's a strong ABS injection-molded version of an originally 3D printed design, the venerable model 13 figure. Although I think some of the parts are still 3D printed, which is cool. But I really appreciate how it's not brittle, and these parts can hold up to a lot of use without snapping or cracking. And they did a good job with the molding on the parts. I didn't notice any weird bumps or leftover bits of plastic. It can be a little bit tricky to pose without it falling over, especially when holding a big weapon like the buster sword, but a bit of patience and practice will go a long way. The ball joints make for great articulation points, giving you a wide range of motion. My one complaint with this figure is that the assembly process is somewhat frustrating. If the instructions I received weren't incorrect, they were at the very least somewhat misleading. So I could see some kids (and adults) having a difficult time putting one of these together, and some might give up because of that. Personally, I wish it came partially pre-assembled, and you just snap on the arms, legs, and head to the torso. It would still fit in the little box if they did that. Oh well, at least it's possible to build, I can attest to that. Although I'm still not sure if I built mine 100% correctly. If there is a silver lining to my frustrations with the assembly process, it's that nothing broke! Even the little fiddly parts stayed together, and nothing cracked on me! So you're getting high-quality plastic parts. Other than the assembly itself, and the small parts (there is a helpful warning on the back of the box to keep away from very small children for that reason) it's definitely kid-proof. Even if an arm or leg falls off, it's easy to pop back in place. So for slightly older kids into LEGO or other building toys, or anybody who wants a little posable action figure on their desk (for artistic reference, etc.) - provided you can figure out how to put it together - this is a fun, reasonably priced choice.
