Horses are prone to injuries like cuts and wounds because they are naturally curious. Horse owners should have all the essentials in their horse first aid kit supplies, including an antibacterial wound spray. There are so many choices when it comes to horse wound care, but you need to choose the one that works - it should be sting-free, speed up healing, and prevent further infections. Of course, any wounds that have any foreign objects should be checked by a vet first, but for wounds that you can manage on your own, even major ones, we have Underwood Horse Medicine Topical Wound Spray. This antiseptic spray for wounds is meant to work with a light dusting of baking powder, which creates an artificial scab that acts as a bandage - keeping the medicine inside the wound while keeping corruption, infection, and bacteria out. Underwood Wound Care also helps promote the faster healing of wounds - this horse wound care is safe for cuts, gashes, abrasions, or scrapes. The Underwood Horse Medicine does not sting when applied - it's pain-free so your horse won't feel uncomfortable when applying it. This wound antiseptic spray was initially formulated for horses, but it's safe and effective to use on dogs, cats, rabbits, cattle, pigs, goats, and other animals, too. This wound spray is easy to use - just spray the product on the wound and lightly dust it with baking powder. There's no need to wash or bandage the wound. It is recommended to use it twice daily, but you can apply more than the recommended to speed up the healing process of the wound. Additionally, make sure that the wound is always dry because moisture will affect the healing process and is known to cause proud flesh. Underwood Horse Medicine is a more economical way to heal wounds on horses and other animals. Save yourself from the expensive vet consults and medicines and use Underwood Horse Medicine instead! Product Details: Weight: 16 oz Refill Bottle Review: I highly recommend this. Works excellent. Review: Works like a miracle heals large and small wounds in a matter of days. Works on all warm blooded creatures. Vets don't like it because it costs them business. Don't use on deep wounds that need stiches . although it helps stiches heal faster with minimal to zero scaring . Heals scrapes , shallow cuts, large and small skin tears, lanced abscesses etc . I shouldn't say this because the bottle says not for use on humans but it works great on anything with broken skin. I accidentally got some on a cut arm and it healed quickly without scaring. I used it on a friends dying great Pyrenees dicubitus wounds they were large but the healed in less than a week. (My friend was not ready to let him go yet ) .It smells good, however, it is dark and sticky it but cleans up easily. Washes out of clothes and off walls without staining. I would not be without this product as long as i have any kind of animal.

We were leery about the 'no rinse' between applications of this product. Slightly worried about an infection from flies as the puncture big & deep on our horse's front shoulder. It worked wonders!! Easy application. For the most part with the baking powder application, the wound has crusted over so flies couldn't bother it. It has healed from the inside out & fast!! I just recommended this to a friend that had horses injured in a tornado. This will forever be stocked in our tack room!! What a great product.

To make long story short, We had just gotten our lil filly when she got hung up in hotwire, we were not there till next morning. Her wounds were devestating. Exactly what you could imagine, down to bone, exposing ligaments and all on on both back legs. This July will be 2 years we will have been dressing them 2-3xdaily. I read about this product in Cowgirl magazine, after checking into the products site, the reviews, and pics from others, the price was low enough that even if it didn't work then that's ok. Well...going into my 3rd month of using this product 2x/day and OMG!!! One leg is completely healed the other has gone from about a 4"x5" opening down to about a 2x2 opening! Not sure what this stuff is but It's Gold to me and I'm Sold! My other horses have had couple scrapes , I spray n powder, and within couple days wound is gone! Keeps the bugs/flies away while healing! I highly recommend this product to anyone with horses. It's very reasonable, very easy to use, and ships quickly but most of all it Works! in the photo above, the first one was after 2 years of still treating it with other dr recommended products and the day we started using this product. Pic 2 is 3months into using this amazing product on both legs , the right leg is finally closed. the left leg has closed quicker in 3 months on this then it has done all year. I will attach photo and how long it took to totally close when it does. We are sold though! its so easy to use and 1 bottle last almost 2 months(if ur not using it on other horses on dog wounds), thats at 2x's daily. I must mention,?you DO NOT CLEAN THIS OFF !! I had to verify that. But you continue to spray more on top of whats on the wound. They stress, when you start using this dont clean off wound before apply new spray , you just spray powder and thats it.
