Bouncebacks! Emergency Department Cases: ED Returns

Best $50 I’ve spent
Out of all the medical texts I own, this one is the most educational. It provides the originals details of the case, including documentation, professional commentary, analyzes the return visit and how/if that could have been prevented, and then gives a broad overview of the pathophysiology & treatment of the pathology. More engaging than just a regular medical text (Sorry, Dr. Tintinalli!)

Thoughtful
Easy to read a chapter or two a day. Broad review of basics of EM, with additional recs for discharge instructions, follow up, documentation, and pitfalls.

Book written by males, centered on males
19 out of 30 cases in this book focus on males. Just another example of sexism in medicine. Pathetic.
