TYC Cabin Air Filter Compatible with 2006-2009 Hyundai Tucson

This product does fit in my 2020 Hyundai ioniq, but its much thinner that the original one. Only time will tell how it holds up.

My dealership quoted me about 5 times what this filter cost for 5 minutes worth of work. I am the kind of person who throws her hands in the air and needs help with anything car-related. But I also don't have money to waste and have learned to look up prices and check out user videos to see how difficult it may be to fix things myself (of with a friend's helping hand). Long story short, took me less than 5 minutes to replace this filter - no tools required.Filter looked identical to the original filter I took out from my Hyundai Ionic 2017 and fit perfect.I will definitely be buying replacement filters and changing them myself!

I received this and immediately proceeded to install it on my newly acquired preowned 2007 Hyundai Tucson GLS. The old cabin air filter looked as if it had never been replaced and my allergies couldn't wait for fresher air. In any case, this filter was too wide by about an inch. I had to scissor and tape it to make it fit, but it seems fine. One side has nylon netting to support the filter; similar to home ac air filters that use a light wire netting, the material seems fibrous and dense enough to block pollutants such as pollen, smoke and exhaust from outside sources. However, if I have to alter it to make it fit, I might as well buy a large home type ac filter and cut it to size, so I doubt I'll reorder this one.** update 6-6-2011: after having this installed for a couple of weeks, I have to add that this filter does not block pollution such as those fumes from the diesel vehicle that's driving near you, the smoker flicking their ashes out the window next to you at the red light, or those tempting restaurant aromas. So if you absolutely need a pollution blocking filter, this ain't it.** final update 2-16-12: I soon began to get a 'fragrance' in the cabin that reminded me of a wet paper grocery bag. Also heard a strange whistling in the cabin. Checked the filter it was trying to scrunch itself into the air vent under/behind the glove compartment. That may be due to my 'custom fit' job, can't speak to the cause of the strange odor. The filter lasted the 'normal' 4-6 months but the filter's smell added to the fact that the filter has to be 're-engineered' to fit steered me completely away from a reorder on this item.Don't buy for a '07 Hyundai Tucson GLS: DOES. NOT. FIT.

This filter is about 0.5 inch thinner that the genuine Hyundai cabin filter. This filter is only half the size (thick) of the area where it is installed in my 2020 Hyundai Ioniq.

1/2 the thickness of OEM =s 1/2 the life of OEM.No savings but does the job!

I struggled to find the cabin air filter from other stores, and the dealership wanted to sell and install it for more than double the price. Took 3mins to install and works as it's supposed to. Be sure to face the filer arrow facing downwards (facing the passenger floor), when installing it, inline with the air flow. You may feel tempted to face it upwards (against the air flow), since the cabin air filter cover has an arrow showing upwards.

Unfortunately I had to send back. Not even close to the original filter that came with my 2020 Ioniq. This filter seems to be too thing.

Fits perfectly at a fraction of the price locally.
