Q: What is the power supply to the attenna?

Puma 421 has 4 Cellular antennas, 2 Wi-Fi antennas and 1 GPS antenna. Cellular antennas and Wi-Fi antennas do not require power to function. GPS antenna is active and our router is capable of providing the power for the GPS antenna. Learn more on https://www.peplink.com/products/puma-series/.

Q: Does this antenna need a ground plane?

Using an extra ground plane is definitely optional, but not a must. Ground planes are like reflectors, enabling signals to be reflected off its surface. Sometimes, people use them to direct radio frequency signals towards their antennas and enhance signal reception. But if the antenna is good enough, like Mobility 42G, there will not be a big difference between the performance with or without a ground plane.

Q: Will this work with a CraddlePoint 1900?

The Mobility 42G is an antenna that comes with SMA connectors. It works with the router using SMA connectors, however, if you use it with a wireless router to strengthen its signal grabbing and reception performance, I would suggest you stay with Peplink.

Q: Does it good signal in the farm zones? does its necessary cellphone boosters ?

Mobility 42G is an antenna, if the location has good signal coverage and the antenna is mounted towards the carrier tower direction, theoretically the router should be able to get a good signal. If the farm doesn't have too many tall objects surrounding the antenna, it should perform well. Also compared to a cellphone booster, the Mobility 42G can perform much better in terms of grabbing or transmitting signals. It is not limited to only improving the connection on your cellphone, but you can connect the Mobility 42G to your router to improve your entire network.
