shiny solid spacey stuff
It was slightly awkward to assemble, but that's all my fault not a design issue…it just took me a minute to get the pieces into position, and then everything tightened perfectly without incident. A very solid support and retention system, designed to work with round or oval seat rails. I paired this post with a Control Tech carbon seat. It really helped doing the setup off-bike, seated at my dinner table rather than squatting beside the bike my garage. The included cradle is a unique formation of carbon fiber, which supports the rails from below over a rather large contact area. Rider weight is uniformly held on that cradle directly atop the post. All the rest is Titanium, including the two bolts, two rail brackets, trestle, and of course the post itself. Laser etched logo and subdued graphics finish the item nicely. I always smear a thin layer of toothpaste inside the frame neck to help keep post from slipping under normal clamping force...that's been my routine for years, but any fine abrasive polishing paste should do the trick.

Dream Seatpost for Stiff Hardtails
I have a 1996 Klein. It was the lightest / stiffest bike of its day (and in many respects even now). But I'm not 20 anymore and a hardtail can be unforgiving on the low back.Old school titanium does a great job to take the edge off.Not to mention, this post is GORGEOUS to see.Did I mention this post replaces an Easton EC90 Carbon post (considered to be one of the best money can buy).Ya. Its that good.Unfortunately it is manufactured in Taiwan and not the good ole USA, but its well made, from a respectable bike component company and its Ti at a reasonable price.Bring on the Ti !!!
