I'm unsure what I was expecting from this but unfortunately it's almost too heavy for me to use. The jury is still out but I just a few test trims of hedges and realised that it's nearly impossible to use without also wearing the shoulder strap and, really, it should come with a full upper body harness. As I type this, my wrists still feel weak. Everything else seems OK. It seemed to cut fine. The noise isn't excessive or ear-piercing. Because the cutting teeth are so far from the handle it can be hard to cut things at close quarters, because you always need to be around 5 or 6 foot away. I'd say you should probably combine this with a more traditional trimmer for the close-up work.

Two years on and still going strong. Used to maintain a 40ft pyracantha hedge and does it on one charge, no problem

Cheap tat!Used twice got it out after winter it would not work.. it’s either the battery or the motor. Was kep in dry shed . Simply busted with no apparent reason. If it’s the batteries (both of them) had a life span for charging once or twice in total.. either way it’s not worth a penny let alone so called reduced price of £89. Do not spend your money on this … buy something else!!

I am sorry but I would be not telling you the truth, if I said this is perfect , it was very easy to put together, a lot better than other items similar I have purchased, still quite heavy stap dogs in shoulder, needs shoulder protection, fast delivery aka Amazon, I have no problem recommending this item for its shear quality, and assembly instructions, so why , I say this, it would sufficent for a small not very thick hedge, good reach, it's just that it lacks the power, to cut, time after time, I had to stop and try get it off a branch, which jammed in the blades, so I was going nowhere, my corded hedge trimmer makes short work of any branches, I am not saying, that this trimmer is bad, far from it, but you should seriously look at what you are wanting to cut, it is a underpowered light weight trimmer, better for thinner hedges, why did I buy it, it looked the part, like everything today, I will purchase a more powerful corded trimmer , there is nothing wrong with this item, but it's my own fault, should have looked at the power, the manufacturer has told the truth, a rarity, I thank them, just underpowered..thank you...it's good

I was so impressed with this long reach hedge cutter from TERRATEK that I bought another one today. The old one was from 2020, and still runs today, perfect, even the batteries have lasted.This new one, arrived again with two spare batteries, battery charger too, and as you can see from one of my images, I have quite task keeping the high and long hedges trim and level several times a year.One of my images, and this is important too, shows my old 2020 model next to the new 2024 one, and this is to show just how reliable these are. Another image, possibly important too, is to show (as a helpful hint) how I lost a retaining orange screw and bolt a while back (on my old one), so now use a jubilee clip. Still works perfect. So be careful not to lose that orange extender retainer.I am delighted with this hedge cutter, which deserves more than 5 stars, and as its the same model, again i can interchange same batteries, and now have 4 batteries between both hedge cutters. Thank you again for keeping this so affordable model available.

The item was good for its intended purpose of cutting high hedges and smallish branches/ twigs high up and in my opinion less than 10mm. Its use was somewhat limited by the shoulder strap and I removed it as it slipped too easily off the shoulder.
