NOPE. It is not the same. I fell scam to same exact thing. The video ad on Facebook can't even be found anymore. I just received the toy yesterday. It is a two inch hard plastic cheap toy. Don't ever trust Facebook ads. Btw, the company who I sent a payment to was steadyera inc. I received a confirmation email from obianmall saying it was on the way. When I clicked "View your order" a 404 error page comes up. When I go onto their site, the toy doesn't exist. If you see these two sites, do not trust them! Such a waste of 40 bucks. I really hope they refund me.

if turning the back to "on" and I can't get him to sleep or certain sounds made without corresponding movements...does that mean its defective?

He comes with Demo mode on. If you haven’t removed him from box you will have limited movement and sleep is not offered in Demo mode. He needs to be carefully removed from box to get to the switch in back. There are 3 positions. Far (R) is off, Center is Demo mode. (His sounds movements are limited) Far (L) is on. The Child will become more animated and even sleep. All 25 sounds as promised.
