Exceptional Audiophile Quality Headphones with Limited Faults
I've been looking for a pair of headphones that do it all for me, that I can buy for a decent price and keep for years to come not needing to swap out to anything else, and these definitely seem the one. B&W have always been sensational when it comes to sound quality, having utilised their speakers in the past, but when it comes to music I enjoy headphones, and although wired will always be superior sound quality, there really isn't much in it when it comes to Bluetooth Vs Wired in these headphones. Sound quality these are exceptional - perfect bass, sensational treble and mid-tones, highs are also not too overwhelming as well. Bluetooth is easy to connect as well with their app, with a built in EQ (which I did utilise) - I found they were fractionally too quiet for me, although tuning the EQ on the app made it perfect, and due to the in-built amp in the headphones, the EQ increase didn't result in any loss of quality, but it would have been nice to be slightly louder out of box. Comfort wise, they are so comfortable - feel so light on the head that you forget they are on, although one slight issue is they are a bit slidy on the head - so jogging with them on is pretty much out of the question on the tightest section. But I didn't buy these for exercise - they are great out and about on a gentle walk or at the shops, and great indoors of course. These headphones do have the option to be utilised wired as well so you can retain that extra margin of quality, and comes with both charging cable and aux (although only USB-C from the headphones themselves). Battery life is incredible - I actually fell asleep with them on and 8 hours later was surprised to be on 45% (started on 67%). Another small downside are the headphone's buttons - honestly they are awful - so small and I can never find them easily (doesn't really matter though as I just use my phone controls, or my PC) but it can be frustrating if you're often utilising the buttons. Honestly cannot really fault these headphones apart from the minor things mentioned - these are the best all-round headphones I've ever used. Superior sound quality with the ease of wireless with minimal loss of quality. Perfect price for the years you'll get out of them - make the jump, it'll save you money in the long run instead of buying cheaper headphones that will break easier in a year.

Well made, with a balanced and enjoyable sound
They are nicely made and feel solid. Out of the box they sound very good, balanced but perhaps with a bias towards bass. I'm happy with the sound but there is a 5 band equaliser in the app if you need it. I find the sound more enjoyable than the Sony WH-1000XM4 and 5 both of which I've owned. I enjoy the PX7 more than my pair of open backed wired headphones driven by a good quality DAC/amp. The exception being the soundstage which isn't as wide but instruments are still well separated within the soundstage. The noise cancelling is effective and better than my Earfun Wave Pro. The Wave Pro worked very well on a plane so I'd expect the PX7 s3 to work at least as well. The ambient mode worked nicely when I did some spoken French lessons - Duolingo was able to recognise the words I spoke with no problem. They are a snug fit over my ears but they might be a bit too snug for some. I've been able to connect via Bluetooth to an iPad, an Android phone and an Amazon Fire Cube. I've connected via the included USB type C cable to both iPad and an Android phone. On the iPad the PX7 sounded better connected via cable, but on the Android device there was little difference. So far the app has worked fine with no glitches. Overall, I like the PX7 S3 a lot. There are places where I wouldn't feel safe wearing expensive kit like the PX7 S3, but for those places my Earfun Wave Pros will fill in nicely.

A big step up
Let me be totally blunt. These PX7 s3's are a big step up from the PX7 2e's. And they made me wish I hadn't purchased the 2e's. Here's my opinion on the S3's.... 1. As usual, the build quality is exceptional. They're lighter than the 2e's. And better designed for the head. The clamping force is firmer without being uncomfortable. 2. Noise cancelling is not as important in my world. There has to be some outside noise leakage to let me hear things I may want to hear?. The NC works to a point. And it's good enough for me. 3. Battery life is what I expected. Up to 30 hours with NC on is good. I know there are h/phones with longer battery life out there. But how many of you wear your h/phones for the whole of the batteries charge cycle?. I know I don't. So it's a moot point really. The 30 hours are long enough. 4. Sound quality. I'm not a big fan of "graphic EQ's". I find that I constantly fiddle with them to improve sound without the need to. These S3's have a 5 band EQ. But I don't use it. The S3's have a "True Sound" facility in the app. And its very good indeed. The balance of sound is pretty much what I strive for when I'm messing around with said EQ. There is plenty of bass e.g. But it doesn't overpower the mids or highs. And once the "run in" period is reached. The S3's will have a balanced sound. P.s, the volume of these S3's is loud. At 50% they may cause hearing issues?. I'm using my pair at 35% volume, and thats more than enough. 5. The price of these are at a higher end than most other h/phones. But when compared to B&O's e.g. They are reasonable. Apparently the PX8 S2 is to be released later this year. And with Spatial Audio. But also later this year (via an update) the PX7 S3's will be Spatial compatible too. The PX8's are supposed to be B&W's flagship model. But they would have REALLY special to match these S3's. I do highly recommend buying these. Especially when the updates appear later this year.

Worth the money
Excellent headphones, just make sure your source device has the aptx codex as it doesn't have LDAC or whatever iPhone uses supported (it'll work but you'll get better sound from competitors). I recommend Looks amazing, sounds amazing after some eq fiddling (a tad too much bass) and extremely comfortable. I've deducted a star due to the physical buttons, I dislike touch controls and like proper buttons. The PX7's have these but they're too small (style over usability) and the play button has too many functions... Play/pause one press, skip 2 presses and back 3 which results in horrible input lag that erks me.

Just superb
Occasionally you make a purchase that you absolutely love. That’s the case with these headphones. I love everything about them. The sound fills your space and is full, bright and lively. Good bass, bright mids and great detail. Just awesome. They paired easily with my iPhone though the app took a little persuasion to find them. This is the first pair of headphones where I prefer the pre set to anything I can alter it to using the EQ. The quality is far better than anything else I’ve tried. The Boss Quiet comfort weee anything but, with the unbearable creaking casing and noise cancelling that made my ears pop like I was on a flight. Hated them. By contrast these scream quality and are just beautiful. They are remarkably comfy (usually I get tired of hot ears after an hour or so). They are surprisingly light-weight and comfy. I like the size and shape too, they are not great bulky beasts, sleek and elegant. Not plasticy at all unlike their main competitors. The finish screams quality too. I’m so glad that Infinally allowed myself to stump up a chunk of money. These are the perfect headphone.

The Audiophile’s "Commuter" Choice: Why I bought these despite owning the Px8 S2
I am an audio enthusiast with a massive collection of high-end gear, including the B&O H100, Focal Bathys, and both the B&W Px8 and Px8 S2. You might wonder why I would buy the Px7 S3 when I already own "better" headphones. The answer is simple: Peace of mind. I needed a daily driver for my commute—something that sounds great but isn't so expensive that I’m constantly worried about risk, damage, or theft on the train. Sound Comparison: Px7 S3 vs. Px8 & Px8 S2 If you are deciding between these models, here is the honest truth from someone who owns them all: Bass: The Px8 series is undeniably superior here. The carbon cone drivers in the Px8 (and especially the S2) offer a tighter, punchier, and more visceral bass response. The Px7 S3 is good, but comparatively, the low end is a bit more polite and less defined. Soundstage: This is the biggest difference. The Px8 S2 has a holographic, wide presentation that separates instruments beautifully. The Px7 S3 feels more "closed-in" and intimate. Detail: The Px8 S2 retrieves details that the S3 glosses over. Why the Px7 S3 is still the right buy Despite the Px8 S2 being the sonic winner, the Px7 S3 is the better choice for a "beater" pair. Price-to-Risk Ratio: It offers 85-90% of the B&W house sound for a price that makes them much less stressful to wear in public or toss in a bag. Comfort & Build: They share the excellent build quality B&W is known for, but with slightly more utilitarian materials that feel durable enough for the daily grind. Competence: Even if the soundstage is smaller, the tuning is still fun, engaging, and miles ahead of standard consumer headphones. Pros: Value: Significant cost savings over the Px8 while keeping the B&W DNA. Practicality: Perfect for commuting where you don't want to risk £600+ headphones. Build: Premium feel without being overly delicate. Tuning: Enjoyable, warm sound signature that is great for on-the-go listening. Cons: Soundstage: Noticeably narrower and less holographic than the Px8 S2. Bass Authority: Lacks the deep, visceral punch of the Px8’s carbon drivers. Detail: Smooths over micro-details that higher-end models reveal. Verdict If you want the absolute best audio performance B&W offers for home or office listening, spend the extra money on the Px8 S2. However, if you are like me and need a high-quality companion for the commute that saves your flagship gear from the wear and tear of travel, the Px7 S3 is the perfect pragmatic choice.

A bit of a let down
Physical Quality is good. Sound is good. Connectivity is okay. Okay so what's happening here..? These are my first Bowers & Wilkins headphones, and I've used them for 4 months thereabouts. I've used them with my phone, TV and laptop. I've used my old Plantronics with those same devices, without issues, however there was no noise cancelling (even though Plantronics give you two levels 🤷♂️). Back to the Bowers... Sound is good, no real issues except the noise cancelling is not as good as I'd have liked for £400. Think I would have preferred the Sony's. Physically they are comfortable and look nice, perhaps a little larger than needed. At the time of purchase, I wasn't able to buy replacement ear pads, hopefully that's changed. I tend to wreck the ear pads with my glasses 🤷♂️. But the real annoyance for me is the sound quality over Bluetooth when connected to my TV, and the mist annoying issue is the disconnections from my laptop. I can be in a teams call and I'll get disconnected. Sometimes it will reconnect automatically within 20 seconds, other times I need to power cycle the headphones. There are no other connected devices whilst I use the laptop, so what on earth is happening?! 🤷♂️ I've checked the phone app and there's no new headphones update. Anyway, I wouldn't buy them again for these general all round tasks. Quite disappointing.

Wow what a stellar upgrade!!
First off i must comment Bowers and Wilkins for the overall step up on the PX7 S3 headphone , it has upgraded it in all departments from sound quality to noise cancellation these are up there with the best. Taking them out the box they seem a lot lighter then the previous iteration the PX7 S2 which is a great thing as the S2 were quite heavy on the head , also the cups are smaller and button placement is a lot more ergonomical . Sound quality is a step up from the S2 the Bass is better a good quality to it,and the mids especially female vocals sounds really good ...Treble extension has also improved more sparkly but not too piercing to the ears just right ..Not the widest soundstage but its very good . Overall its a fun and fantastic experience listening to this headphones with all genres of music great stuff!! ...Let me not forget the noise cancellation it is a huge step up, it is up there with the like of Bose and now i can confidently say just done well . Finally the app has an update to support these new headphone ...it now has a 5 Band equaliser and a special sauce called "TRUESOUND" in the app ,this is a must use has it makes the headphones sound so good its obviously some nice sound processing going on . Lastly the only downside is the cups are now smaller and not as deep as the S2, so if you have big ears in my be a problem !!
