Great value for the money, good starter bar
Really happy with the bar. My garage doesn’t have a lot of space for me and my wife to exercise at the same time, and this doesn’t take up too much space. I had ordered a 7’ bar, but found that it took up too much space when actually exercising. I have a lot of equipment in my garage, and the long bar made it difficult to get around. The bar has a smaller diameter grip, which my wife likes. We tried different diameter bars at a local sporting goods store, and she preferred this size bar. The lighter bar also makes it easier for her to perform exercises that where difficult for her with the 45 lb bar.The only negative is that the shorter bar makes doing landmine exercises a little odd. Not that they can’t be done, but the angle is sharper due to the length of the bar. Still, it is great for us, we are not doing any serious bodybuilding or CrossFit workouts, we are just trying to stay in shape. If you have limited space, or are looking for a bar to start working out with, this is a good buy.

Good to use as beater bar in rack.
Got the barbell for $55 with shipping as an amazon special. Was returned by previous buyer for cosmetic defects.I bought it to use as a beater bar inside an old 1960s York isomtric power rack that I found on Craigslist last fall.As such, my usage of it in the rack will continue to chip off the paint. In terms of quality, it is not a quality bar. Think about the kind of bar that comes with 300lb olympic sets at sporting goods stores. But for the usage as a rack bar, it is perfect.Currently using for bottom position squats and bench presses inside the rack from pins. May eventually use for rack pulls. If it bends, so what.Good beater bar.

CAP 6' Olympic bar from Amazon - Good Bar, Arrived Quickly, Seems Sturdy
Pros - price, delivery quickness, size, constructionCons - arrived one side loose (not off), shipping container tatered, bar knurling a little unevenSpecs - 27.4 lbs, 46.25" inside collar to collar, 72" overall lengthWhile I was concerned after reading some of the negative reviews, I needed a shorter bar (6' vs 7') so I decided to order the bar, hoping for the best. I plased the order on a Monday and it was delivered to my doorstep that Thursday. The bar was shipped in a shipping tube that was badly tatered so I didn't know what to expect when I opened it. The bar however was not damaged and appeared in great condition. I noticed one of the end nuts was loose, but when tightened seemed snug. The bar fit perfectly on my Body Champ bench which has a 38.5" wide bar hold (bar support rise to bar support rise). I have not yet had an opportunity to place plates on the bar (they are in transit) so if when I do and if the plates don't fit I will change my review. Based on what I have experienced with this bar, I would recommend it to anyone that wishes to have a low-cost, shorter (tan regulation) bar.

Great barbell,
This 30# barbell is a little shorter than the standard Olympic barbell, but works great in tight spaces. You have about 9" of space to stack weights on there if you intend to clamp them in (highly recommended!) I made my own concrete weights as you can see in the picture, so at some point I will probably have to get a longer bar, but for now this guy is working great. The packaging was a little questionable -- I wish they had secured the ends of the box a bit better. When the UPS guy handed it to me, the bar slid right out the end, so please be careful handling it!

Cap Barbell Solid Chrome Bar (6ft)
This bar definitely exceeded my expectations and then some. This bar is only 3X lbs but it's a foot shorter than an official bar and it's only roughly $60 so you get what you pay for.Good: What's great about this bar is the price most obviously and collars do swivel easily which your wrists will thank you for. The middle part of the bar is grooved like any bar so ease of use. The bar was very well packaged so no defects were observed.Bad: The bad really for me is just there aren't any finger placement lines which most 7' bars I've used have but not a game breaker. Using Amazon Prime overnight it still took a week to receive so that was kind of frustrating but not a knock on the product itself.Bottom Line: All the "bros" writing bad reviews are just aggravated because they want 1,500lbs Olympic bar quality for 1/10th the price. 300lbs is a very agreeable weight limit for a bar in this price range and for home use. If you're that devastated that the bar isn't exact weight go to a commercial gym; Personal bests should be about YOU noticing a difference and not being able to tell your friends I can bench 215 instead of 205 because they won't care. :*)

Sturdy and comfortable grip
What is there to really say other then all the measurements on this item are accurate and it’s a very sturdy bar. The black finish on it is very nice. I have hit it on the metal beams a few times and so far the scratches don’t show up, will see if it withstands the test of time.

perfect for my setup tbar row/landmine
I needed something a bit shorter for my rack in my garage dedicated for tbar rows. THis fit the bill awesome. I paired this with the fitness reality landmine attachment to secure with the rack and use a cap row bar or a titan fat grip close hand attachment. Kills it everytime. best back workout to compliment my lat pull downs
