excellent wire fishing tool - has worked successfully in a variety of difficult situations
The effectiveness and versatility of this tool is impressive. Between the hook attachment, the magnet attachment, and the superior flexibility of these rods, I've been able to successfully fish nylon line and/or wire in situations I doubted where it was even possible. This is a must-have tool for wiring or rewiring behind already-finished walls, ceilings, and floors.

Why didn't I buy this years ago?!
What a time-saver. My friend and I lost 2 hours of our lives the other day trying to run 18 feet of BX through a ceiling (plaster & lath, bridging between joists, etc.). Even though we had a straight shot, steel fish tape couldn't handle it and kept bending back on itself. Today, it took my wife and I about 20 seconds to wriggle through. The rods in this kit are flexible enough to maneuver into openings, but don't bend back on themselves. It's easy to jiggle/shake/stir to get them around obstacles. One thing that's not pictured in the description is a "bullet" attachment that you can screw onto the leading pole... makes it smoother to push past plaster keys, etc. There are a number of small attachments that screw on, and they just float freely in the plastic storage tube, so you have to be careful not to lose them. Other than that, the kit seems durable and useful for all kinds of things... speaker wire is next.

A little flimsy but excellent for drop tight drop ceiling wire runs.
for a tight drop ceiling, these worked great. Because they're a little flimsy they shook loose of obstructions and jumped over some spots that i'd have had to get past by hand. The hook came in super handy several times. The rods are a little flimsy, so in certain situations I can see that being a hindrance but overall, a great value. Very flexible so tight turns can be achieved. Side note: for the review, one of the sub categories to rate is "for working out". Gave these one star for working out; i don't care how many reps you do, these won't add bulk or definition!

Well made fish tape
This is a great tool. I was debating between this set and another popular brand and pricing wise this is a deal you can't beat. Main difference is the caliber of the sticks, this set is thinner and more easy to bend. Connectors did not get loose and worked for all lines I ran (about 200ft inside walls, crawlspace in 2 attics). For the purpose I used (running RG6 lines) it worked fairly well. If you need to run thicker cable it will be good idea to run pulling line first and then the cable to avoid a possible break.

Very nice!
For the price, these are great! They are a bit flimsier compared to the sticks you'll find at home depot or lowes but that is what I was looking for. It's easier to get them down walls when you're in a ceiling and you are in very tight spaces where you need them to be flexible. This is exactly what I was looking for. You also get a ton of sticks for the price. I also like how the caps on the end of the tube that holds the sticks don't slip off easily to where you can lose them easily. Also the sticks come with some nice end adapters, some are really cool that I don't see in other brands, like the magnet end. Anyways, personally I'm giving this 5 stars. They are durable and you get a lot of them, the price is really good for what you get.

Huge time saver!
I just used these rods to fish a thermostat wire through a log cabin wall. It was a tight fit because of an existing 12-2 electrical wire - but it worked!! The only mistake I made was first attaching the nylon leader where the the wire you are pulling is attached. The leader got stuck in the hole - but after I removed the leader and just pushed the rod, the rod went all the way up to the outlet cutout. I was then able to attach the thin flexible fiberglass leader, which allowed me to hook the wires to the rod. After thinly wrapping the connection with electrical tip, I then applied a little silicone grease to the electrical tape. I went back downstairs and pulled the rod with great success. Don't think twice - these work!

Great tool with flexibility.
These are so much better than a fish tape. I love the option to put just 2 or 3 together and run 3 separate wires through the same opening in different directions, and then just unscrew them as you pull them out of the pipe or run you are using. The hook that comes with it works well for one person. I sent 4 connected rods up conduit in my wall from basement to attic and got it to hook on the pipe end then got into the attic and pulled the hook and rods up. Will recommend to friends.

Good price and good item
Worked out beautifully for running fan wiring in my RV, flexible enough to get into the places but stiff enough to guide in the spaces, very happy with product and a good value for the money
