petite and pretty
I have bought two packs of these seeds this year and other seeds from this company as well. The seeds germinate fast and are easy. I have had major success this year with this company's seeds. They bloom well and are pretty. I was looking all over for a petite marigold since I use them mostly as companion plants for my peppers and tomatoes. These only get about 6-10 inches which leaves room for my veggies to thrive. These are sunset colors which are gorgeous against the green foliage. They are an easy seed to cultivate and have thrive. The price is fine for heirloom usa seeds. This pack will give you plenty of plants. Pests don't care for marigolds so I always fill in my garden where some other flowers did not thrive I just toss some seeds in the soil and quickly my garden is back in bloom.

Great germination rate
Itโs early days yet, so no blooms. However the seedlings sprouted within a few days of planting (outdoors) and are growing. And there a high number of them are growing. Canโt tell you if every seed sprouted as I really donโt want to count them all. Great coverage so it will be beautiful when they bloom.

Well established company, ample seeds appear to be of good quality
The Home Grown brand is a product of EAK Distribution, LLC which was established in 2015 and markets several different gardening-related brands. The seeds were well packed in a typical paper envelope which was enclosed in a zip-lock plastic sleeve. A sticker on the sleeve indicates the seeds were packed in 2025 with a sell-by date of 12/2025. The seeds appear to be well prepared, clean and dry. I have just today started the seeds and will report later in a review update if there are any problems with germination or type of Marigold. The package does not indicate a species name or that they are French Marigolds but the photo on package looks right. It just says "Petite Marigold". The QR code on the package for "Digital Grow Guide" does NOT give you that at all, it simply takes you to a web page with a list of "best sellers", mostly vegetable seeds, customer reviews, and nothing at all about marigolds. For that reason, I dropped it down from 5 stars to 4 stars.UPDATE May 27th - after two weeks I have had very low germination rate of about 15% after starting the seeds indoors under light in my regular seed mix in my greenhouse. I am dropping the overall rating to three stars.

Easy to sow, easy to grow!
I am a beginner gardener, so take whatever I say with a grain of salt right now. The instructions were pretty easy to follow. Put the seeds into dirt. Cover with a 1/8" layer of dirt. Water. Go away. It took about a week or so for my seeds to sprout and show little plants. I currently have it indoors in an old gladware container that sits next t the grow light coming off the Aerogarden I have on that same table. I water them when the dirt looks dry. Other than that, I kind of let them do their own thing. Once they get bigger, I'll transplant them outside. I'm avoiding the transplanting right now, because we've been having very cold temps outside (some nights go down to like high 40s/low 50s), so I don't want them to die of cold. For like $5, you do get a lot of seeds. I'm not out here trying to grow like a field full of flowers. I just wanted something nice to supplement my vegetables, and maybe attract some pollinators to come visit my yard. I think I have like another month and a half or so before these guys form blossoms, but I can confirm that I did indeed get at least plants coming out of the seeds I put in. This will not sprout in the aero garden. I think the seeds are too long to fit into the setup and get submerged or whatever. However, that's fine, because they don't need a lot of work to get to grow.
