Hello, Yes, this seat can be installed over a finished tile wall PROVIDED that you have installed solid blocking BEFORE you have closed up the walls during construction. If you are going to install this seat in an existing shower that has not been remodeled, you must be sure you use the proper fasteners.

Q: Can the seat be adjusted to stay in the up position??

I’m missing the caps that cover the mounting pins so without those I can’t tighten the pins Complained to both Amazon and OasisSpace but no response Right now it stays in the up position but will fall to the down position with just a touch
