This movie Wonder Woman is an amazing looking figure. The paint is clean and very good looking. While it's not chrome the glossiness of the red, the texture of the gold and silver are spot on. The flat navy blue on the skirt gives a great constrast to the rest of the more vibrant colours. The figure inself has excellent paint job to translate the costume on screen to a 7" plastic toy. Why the likeliness to Gal Gadot seems to be missing quite a bit, it's not a bad looking head sculpt and compared to what was offered of the first Wonder Woman movie and others versions from Mattel, McFarlane Toys Wonder Woman is miles ahead in terms of quality, design and value. There is one noticeable problem with this figure. And that's Wonder Woman's stretched thighs. Basically her legs are too long. Compared to video clips and stills, her thighs are stretched too long. It's not that noticible when you pose her and being the knees but it's weird that the toy company made such a mistake. Still for the price point and over all quality, it's a noticeable problem but in no ways a deal breaker. Wonder Woman comes with a tied up lasso of truth that can hook on the side of her torso and also a "in action" version. Both can be hold on her hands. The paint on the lassos are perfect, no complains there. However, really wish she came with a pair of closed fist for her bracelet action poses. She also comes with a collector card which personal I enjoy as a little bonus for collecting the DC Multiverse figures. And a small stand which helps with dynamic poses as you can see in the photo. I would say get her while you still can before the movie hype.

She glitters like gold! No wonder Wonder Woman is wonderful. It was love at first sight! I am only a casual Wonder Woman fan. I liked Lynda Carter in the old TV series and I liked Gal Gadot in her recent appearances in 3 DC Universe movies as Wonder Woman. This latest Wonder Woman action figure is one of the best ever made. Beautifully sculpted and painted – an ornament in gold. I am reminded of Liz Taylor in her role as Cleopatra in the 1963 movie – the scene when she arrives in Rome as a guest of Julius Caesar and is garbed in gold. The figure stands at 7 inches but rises to 8 inches if mounted on the stand provided. McFarlane Toys is well-known for excellent detailed sculpting but on the other side of the coin, its figures lack articulation – these are intended for serious collectors to put on display and are not really play things even though they are called toys. Some of the figures produced by McFarlane toys since about 1994 are not even poseable because they are already in a fixed pose – with legs bent or in a crouching position. Good examples are the Yellow Submarine Fab Four figures, the Dragons series, Movie Maniacs and the figures based on the ‘Lost’ TV series. Toys? Nah, these are sculptures in plastic. Hence, this beautiful armored Wonder Woman is no different. Not for kids to play with. The wings will fall off easily. No kidding with this figure allowed for kids. The photos – I am not a serious Wonder Woman fan but I have collected more than 20 Wonder Woman figures since about 1986 when Kenner made a Super Powers series that featured DC superheroes and villains. My first Wonder Woman figure is from this series. Thereafter, I bought several versions of Wonder Woman from DC Direct and later from Mattel which produced figures based on the Justice League animated TV series and then, recently, figures based on Gal Gadot’s movie appearances. Photo 1 shows a close-up of this latest Gal Gadot Wonder Woman 1984 figure Photos 2, 3 and 4 are for size comparison – it shows the figure in the company of other Wonder Woman figures from other manufacturers in different sizes - a Kenner figure (3.75 inches); a Mattel figure from the Justice League cartoon series (3,75 inches); two DC Direct figures (6 inches), a new companion McFarlane figure (6 inches) and a 10-inch Mattel figure that is based on the cartoon series. A beauty to behold. It was love at first sight - I felt like a love-sick Mark Anthony when I first set my eyes on this latest Wonder Woman figure - she's my Golcen Girl and my Cleopatra.
