Q: I'm looking for an inexpensive laptop for my 12 year old who likes to make and edit videos. Will this allow video editing?

As others mentioned above, you'll want a more traditional laptop. For about 400$ I'd say the bare minimum would be the ASUS F555LA-AB31 for ~$370, which is a Core i3, it comes with 4GB of RAM so I'd recommend buying an additional 8GB stick for 30$ making it an Core i3 12GB 1920x1080 screen. The memory is very easy to install even with no experience.This would be the best bang for the buck at the lowest point of entry I'd say.
