Eastern Vital Kashmiri Pink Tea 100g

Eastern Vital tea is great tea. This is the only brand of pink tea I’ve tried and I enjoy it frequently. They also have a great jasmine tea with lots of flower in it for a nice sweet finish.

Just as advertised! While they might not be the highest quality tea leaves on the market, I thought they were fantastic for the price! I was able to brew a delicious chai with them. They taste and smell amazing and didn’t get that bitter taste some green tea leaves produce if you over-steep. For anyone new to Kashmiri chai, it should be noted that boiling the leaves by themselves will not give you that gorgeous pink color, no matter which brand you buy - green tea is always going to look like green tea. You have to add a little baking soda to yield the chemical reaction that changes the color of the tea from gold to deep burgundy, and then add milk to give it that light pink shade.

This is not Kashmiri tea — some unknown green tea labeled as Kashmiri tea. Waste of $10 and time. Maybbeni got the wrong batch.
