Good replacement set
Work well. I was hoping to avoid rewiring. Pins matched but plug latch was incompatible, Easy to install.Price for the set was reasonable. Fast delivery!

Great one for one replacements
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Literally the same unit 18 years later. Replaced 6 original building installed units and simply plug and play with original wiring. I did replace all the ring mounts because the old ones were no longer white! 5 minutes top each unit and that was mostly getting there and setting the ladder up.

Great detectors!
Purchased these for my home. My brother-in-law, who is an electrical engineer, installed them for me. He said they are very easy to install if you just follow the directions in the packet. They worked great! I used five out of the six.

Easy install....EXCEPT for the plug!
Good price and replacement was fairly easy for this 75 year old handy man. BUT..............after re-wiring everything, plugging in the new plug into the unit was extremely difficult. Why they make the plug so difficult to plug in is beyond me. A least I got it done and all 6 units are interconnected and working as they should. Damn those plugs..............!!!!!

Fixed the chirping! No more setting off alarms while cooking!
We needed to replace 6 smoke set in our house that are hard wired. When 1 goes off they all scream! One was defective and kept chirping then another would start. Finally I ordered this set. They were easy to install with labeled wiring, come with long battery life and is nice to have a smoke detector that comes with covers to use while cooking. I have not had to cover the one closest to my kitchen and nothing has set it off like the last one.
