We have a mini schnauzer who tends to be yappy and known to be a screamer at times. He was that dog that would bark at anything and anyone walking by our open corner lot, which is often in our neighborhood. After using this he still barks, but only once! He does not like the vibration or the beep at all and immediately stops barking! Took me a minute to figure out the settings and what worked for us, but I will say overall it does work. The only part that I am not a fan of is that on occasion I have noticed that it will vibrate and beep when the dog has not even made a sound. So, the dog thinks he is doing good then gets a correction while quiet. We do not use this while the dog is in the house, only when he is outside or if we go for a walk. I have noticed that even when someone rings the bell or knocks on the door he is hesitant to bark now. I know a lot of people prefer a barking dog, but I am not one of those, not with my mini schnauzer. I would say overall this is a good purchase if you want your dog to quiet down.
