This meter does exactly what it says. Bought it to check if the the car shop had installed the tint they said they installed, and I was glad to prove that I received the correct product. It’s worth the investment for peace of mind if you’re investing in installing high quality tint in a State where the heat rejection makes a big difference.I checked this meter with my sun glasses, UV light reading glasses and the car tinted windows - they all checked off as expected.I also checked the VLT properties of this meter by comparing it to the shop’s meter - see attached picture. The numbers are within half a percent point. Good by me!

Easy to use and seems accurate enough. Tested car window tint and compared to various glasses & sunglasses to double check accuracy.Particularly was looking for UV protection and visible light. Can't speak to IR accuracy.

Tested on some 35% metallic tint. 5% ceramic tint and 70% ceramic tint.Numbers look close enough to the advertised values, so I'm happy with the meter.

I purchased a car out of state and had to do a state safety inspection before permanently registering the vehicle. Car came tinted. I bought this to measure it, as the inspection place told me that if it was >30% VLT, they would pass it. The meter said 31-34% VLT.When I took it to inspection, the state-provided meter (required for the inspections station license) came back at 27%. I understand different calibrations, etc, but this was 4-7% off. So not happy with it. At least I know what to expect now if I purchase another tinted car again

5% ceramic 2% and no tint so it is pretty accurate im not sure on how accurate the uv and ir is tho but I think it’s accurateEdit: the uv and ir rating are pretty accurate
