Great hoop! Works well with 7” basketball
Was looking for an easy install basketball hoop to play indoors with our silent ball. This basketball ball hoop fit our 7” silent ball perfectly. I also used command strips to attach to my pantry door and it held up very well. Unsure how it would hold up against a textured wall. For now, it works and we enjoy shooting hoops with it! Def recommend with a silent ball. Also, I got this while it was on sale and it is very much worth it.

Perfect dorm room basketball hoop — fun and quiet!
I bought this for my son’s dorm room, and it’s absolutely perfect. It was easy to hang, doesn’t take up much space, and has already provided hours of fun. The best part is how quiet it is — he can play without disturbing the neighbors or his roommate. It’s sturdy, well-made, and great for stress relief or quick study breaks. Highly recommend for college students, offices, or any space where you want to shoot hoops without the noise.

Cheap/Not Durable
If I could give this 0 stars I would. My son received this for Christmas and when trying to put it up, we realized the clips on the rim were cracked, not allowing us to snap it on to the bracket I adhered to the wall. But only after all the Christmas debris was tossed out which included the original packaging, resulting in me not being able to return it. Mom-fail on my part for not keeping the packaging till after it was installed, not thinking there’d be an issue with the hoop. It is a cheap plastic and for the price I would recommend just getting a metal hoop.

Perfect for Playroom
Great hoop-I wish the rim wouldn’t bend or spring quite so much on shots, but I’m not sure how you’d engineer that. Great size for our basement playroom, and looks great mounted on the wall.

Sturdy, reliable, silent!
Best indoor basketball hoop ever! The build is sturdy, but you must use screws as the sticky tabs they give you don’t work permanently. If you want a silent hoop this is your golden ticket. Without a backboard there is no noise to be made. Great value. The hoop is large enough to accommodate a medium sized silent basketball. Do not attempt to use a full sized or real basketball. This is a great indoor hoop, but it is not a hoop to dunk on or shoot heavy balls into. Happy playing!

Not Durable Enough
Pros: • Easy to install • kids really enjoy having this options indoors as it’s getting colder outside Cons: • Extremely fragile - we’ve gone through 2 in 2 weeks. We thought maybe our first one was faulty but broke the second one and heard from other parents similar experiences.

Good indoor rim once installed. Be very gentle if using the included screws.
I do not have the official silent basketball, but I did use this rim with a size 3 indoor foam basketball and it is perfectly sized for that purpose. I initially installed using the included tape but it seems the force of several hundred bricks within a week caused the tape to rip off the wall, taking a chunk of the knockdown texture on the drywall with it. So, I would definitely not recommend using the included tape on knockdown textured walls. My next attempt at mounting was to just pre-drill some holes and use the included screws without anchors since I mounted the rim in a location that has studs behind the drywall. Unfortunately, this is when I found out that the included screws are pretty terrible quality as one of the heads snapped off the screw even with the drill set to low torque. After yanking out the broken screw with a vice-grip I finished the job with a different screw I had in the toolbox. The next thing to do was to get the net to stay attached. The instructions in general were pretty sparse but for this step in particular, just incredibly confusing. The problem with this rim is that it's a plastic rim with simple hooks instead of a "normal" rim with net hooks that prevent the net from bouncing off the top from impact with the ball. Just simply hanging the net on the hooks would result in the net coming loose after a couple dozen shots. The instructions included the very unhelpful line "Pro tip: double loop". I could just be obtuse but I have no idea what this meant. I tried to tie various knots to double the amount of netting on the hook but the spacing of the hook simply does not allow the net to loop around it more than once with any tightness. The trick in the end that I used to get the nets to stay was to pull down on the net at each hook point to make sure the netting is tightly wedged in the hook, then I further pulled the lines across the hook inwards towards the hook, again to try to wedge as much of the netting as possible behind the plastic hook. With this technique, the net has not come loose after several hundred shots. Once it was all setup, it was fun for both me and the kids. My kids are 6-8 and are enjoying the 7' height that I mounted the rim at. I couldn't really mount it any higher since I only have 9 foot ceilings and we all have trouble hitting the ceiling already. This is one of the cheaper indoor rim options and after some frustration with the install and poor instructions, it's been a great rim for indoor basketball fun.
