Nice telescope for beginners but there is a learning curve
Very nice telescope. There is a learning curve with the equatorial mount but once you figure it out it’s really easy to use. Some of the instructions could explain in greater detail and the red dot site could be better.Overall it’s a really nice telescope for beginners and has some nice upgrade choices.

Great Beginners Scope For The Price
Love it very easy to use and assemble. Only thing I would recommend is to buy a few more eye pieces. Comes with a 10mm and 25mm. Recommend buying the laser collimator, 5mm, 40mm, 3X Barlow and a 5X Barlow.Other than that great beginners scope for the price.

Not that pleased by some of the plastic parts
Weeks after assembling it, I found some critical plastic on one leg had cracked in three. I will have to hold it together with electrical tape. The junkiest thing is the red dot finder. It never worked, and trying to replace the battery (if that's the problem) can only be accomplished by damaging the unit. Needs an upgrade.

Really hard to focus
The lenses don't seem to ever focus. And the literature is very confusing.

no solar filter for this model
I disliked the fact that Orion salesman sold me a solar filter that does not fit then I was told they don't have one for this model. that should be written in the description of the telescope.
