The heavy-duty scissors broke that I had for cutting open plastic clamshells and other packages. I got these as a replacement and they certainly look like they'll do the job. I even think I might order a second pair as fabric scissors.First of all, these are by far the nicest packaging I've ever seen on scissors. The box is made of thin wood, with a carbon-fiber-esque pattern on the outside and the scissors are cushioned in custom-cut foam. If you want to buy someone scissors as a present, this packaging is great for that. Otherwise I hate to throw it away, but can't think what to do with it.The scissors themselves are heavy and feel quite solid. The blades, which are very sharp, kiss along their length as they close so they should cut rather than folding paper/fabric/thin objects. There are two screws on each of the blades, presumably to remove the blades for easy sharpening, or to replace a blade if one breaks. The colored portion of the handles are a slightly rubbery coating. The pivot point between the two blades appears to be a screw connected with a nut, which I appreciate as I've had that pin break in other scissors and it was not a replaceable part. The scissors are pretty big - maybe a little too big for my hands, but I'll make do ;)Overall these scissors just have the feel of a quality tool in a way that's not common nowadays. They are a bit pricey for scissors, but you can tell a real difference in quality between these and most scissors you'll find. I'd much rather spend more once than buy pair after pair of cheap scissors which just go to a landfill when they inevitably break. I definitely recommend these to anyone looking for quality, heavy-duty scissors.

These are really nice and heavy scissors. The handles are really big and take some getting use to.

okay so im a sucker for good packaging, and it comes in its own little box with a foam cut out for it to lie in, its a lot bigger than i had expected unfortunately and so i have a bit of trouble using them as smoothly as an average sized scissors, but overall they are some amazing scissors! im very happy with it and i would recommend 100% if it had smaller handles, but thats my own fault for not checking size first, not the company's!it also cuts so dang smoothly, and has that nice sound that sharp scissors make, its so pleasing! very well made, looks super durable and strong. (though if it breaks on me, ill be back to change my review to share such!)TLDR; amazingly sharp and strong scissors, that come in a very nice and safe box!(handles are quite big and a bit awkward to hold for me, but that could just be a me issue, and shouldnt take away from the great craftsmanship)

Im so glad I got these, the shape is much more comfortable to hold and they're really sharp.

scissors are sharp and cut very well but are not very comfortable to hold so wouldn't recommend if you need a pair that will be used often

There really is not such a thing as having too many pairs of scissors around, so if you are on the fence deciding to either give yourself or someone special a new pair, don't hesitate with these.There are several handle colors to choose from, and I selected the pair in Yellow. Very happy with this choice, as it stands out from the other pairs I have, and I can easily remind others not to touch the Yellow set. These scissors will be great for cutting fabric exclusively, but if you plan to use them for fabric primarily, as with all designated fabric shears, keep them away from cutting paper products, as the blades will dull enough to make fabric cutting difficult.These will make great general purpose scissors. They feel good in the hand, they open and close with ease, and they are very sharp. They seem to be able to handle both thin and thick layers with ease. They will arrive in a nice gift box, in fact I kinda felt guilty tossing the box out as they fit and look so nice in it!Overall, very pleased with this purchase.
