Prestige Cat Trees 130014-Neutral Main Coon Cat House Cat Tree

Materials: This thing is heavy. You have to open the box and bring pieces in to where you want it to assemble it. Assembly is a breeze - no tools required, just screwing in 3 posts and 3 beds. The hardware is heavy-duty. The thing is, heavy is important. When you have an 18 pound cat launching himself onto or off of a cat tree, you want to know the tree isn't going to come crashing down somewhere in your house. (not to mention your cat). This thing doesn't even wobble. I love that this is covered in carpet, not the fleece stuff that so many trees come with these days. The cats can scratch, rub, etc., and the carpet holds up. The color is really a great neutral (at least the one I received). There seems to be a mix of colors that somehow make a great neutral for any space (not beige, brown, or gray, kind of a taupe). My walls are lavender, and this works out well. All the posts except one are covered in carpet as well. One is covered in sisal. This is OK in my house - our kids prefer the carpet to stretch and scratch. One thing to note. The bottom measurement is 24" by 24", but the tree takes up more space as the beds stick out past the base. I would give yourself a 36" by 36" space just to be safe. I've got it in a corner by the window, and it's perfect there!Cat spaces: Starting at the bottom, you've got a really nice large house for one or more cats to sleep in. If your cats are so inclined, I can see a 3 cat pile going on in there! The top of the house is also a nice large round spot to stretch and lounge. The lip isn't very big, but the space is so large that this hasn't been a problem. Next, you've got a large triangular platform. My kids all seem to start there as a jumping off point for the higher beds. Occasionally, they really stretch out there too. The three elevated beds are perfect for any size cat. I don't have maine coons, but a few of my boys are just as big. I've also got some smaller, leaner cats, and they enjoy the beds as well. The beds themselves are nice and big, and the sides are high enough to hold the big guys in, but just the right height to hang their heads out if they so desire. The beds are spaced far enough apart that no one is really sharing space with someone they only tolerate!Bottom line: Within two hours of assembly, one of our cats tried EVERY spot to lounge, and seemed to approve of them all. Out of our five cats, three use it religiously, one rarely, one never. The two that don't use it prefer the faux fur throws we leave for them on the people furniture - go figure! I have bought many beds, cat caves, etc. over the years, and this is the best investment I've ever made for my fur babies! Buy one now - you won't be sorry.

I have had cats and cat trees for 50 years. I have NEVER had such a amazing high quality cat tree! This is heavy! Real wood! If the carpet gets beat up I will replace the carpet. We have a very large Maine Coon and other kitties of all sizes and this is purrfect. It is worth the money hands down. Wish I could get two! I would just need more room! You can’t go wrong with this Prestige Cat Tree!

I wanted to give my cat something better than the $80 crappy cat trees I have bought in the past. He loves it. It was easy to put together, very large and heavy. But its sturdy. The top tier is a little tilted, but its held in pretty good and he can get up to it with ease. My cat loves all parts of this tree and he can see more out the window because of the height. I recommend if you have a bigger cat or multiple cats. He is 20 lbs and can lay in the tiers comfortably.

I bought this for my two maine coons one is about 22lbs so far and the other is about 15lbs and growing more and more everyday! With that said they absolutely love this cat tower and love to play/fight and wrestle in it and this thing holds up quite well for two large maine coons that absolutely abuse it! Ahah but i will say the only downfall is that the carpet did give way on the center pole and my boys have ripped the carpet from the pole and now the staples and bare wood are exposed but i have removed all the staples in the mean time so it still works but I would love to be able to order just a new single post if possible.

Definitely a very sturdy cat tree for 3 large & heavy cats ( 14 - 19 lbs. ) to be on together and the beds on top are large enough for them to stretch out & sleep in. They love playing in the big house on the bottom and they actually fit in it quite well. For being able to accommodate our large cats, this tree takes up less floor space than their last cat tree so we are pleasantly surprised! It arrived quickly & was quite easy to assemble. The tree looks great and is easy to put together. However, we've had this tree for 6 months now and the rug covering the tree is falling apart. Our two cats use it everyday, they love it! They do claw the tree, which is the purpose of the tree. But when they claw it the rug just falls apart. It sheds all over the place. We have to vacuum around it all the time because the pieces are just flying! The most worrisome thing is that the cats will chew on the little rug pieces. They really can't help it because the pieces are all over the place. We're on our 3rd set of cats (yes, we're old) and have had cat trees before. The quality of those cat trees were much better. We had one for 20 years, that is the one we replaced. We still have it in a different location. It looks better than this tree that we've only had for 6 months.

This cat tree is a better size for my adult cats, they are not Maine Coons but normal size for most cats. My 2-3 yr old male is almost 11 pounds, long bodied & these bowls are a snug fit for him. It is heavy & seems to be good quality. I would buy again if I had room & need for a second one. Pricy, but cheaper ones are way too small.UPDATE: After just a few months we can see the carpet easily comes off down to bare wood with each scratching on their favorite post, seems lower quality carpet than previous cat trees but overall it's solid built & heavy, it would be nice if the bowls could be a little larger to accommodate normal to larger cats.

We have 3 cats and one of them is part Maine Coon. We looked at our 4 yr old cat and he didn't fit in the buckets any more. Decided to get a better quality tree. After much searching we came up with this as the best option. All 3 cats can climb up and down, swing around and the tree doesn't even move. The hut is firmly on the floor and all 3 fit. Worth every penny. As with all cat trees it will shed if they sharpen their claws on it but better than sharpening on our couch.
