I've seen detangling brushes around and have wondered if they'd be a good solution for my youngest daughter. All of my daughters have hair to their bottoms or longer, but hers is especially thick, tangles really easily, and she has a tender scalp- not a good combination. My own hair can get really unmanageable as well, and it can take a lot of time to detangle. So I was definitely ready to try this one out when I got the chance. It's a lifesaver! Truly. With my youngest it had gotten so bad that she wouldn't let anyone but my oldest daughter brush her hair, despite the fact that we do it the same, and with this brush, she's not only opened that back up, but is doing it herself as well. Her hair is to her mid-thigh and incredibly thick. Additionally, while most of our children got my hair texture, she got her dad's and his is quite kinky- hers doesn't show up in the same way, but there is a lot of texture that promotes tangling- so tangles even an hour or so old can turn into real challenges. For this brush to have changed everything was a miracle that I really wouldn't have believed if I hadn't seen it myself. It goes through my other daughters' hair like butter, and makes detangling on my youngest daughter's hair so much easier and less painful for her. I need like, 1000 of these so I never run out of them!

I needed a great brush for detangling my thick hair. I was happy when I saw this one because of the curve in the back of the brush. This feels so comfortable against my head. And of course it detangles and brushes my hair. If you have had long thick hair, then you know how hard it is to detangle and brush without it hurting. This brush even comes with a few extras like massaging my scalp, and the curved design also feels the best while combing wet or dry hair. And with this comb/brush it works well enough that your whole family can use this one comb. If you blow dry your hair, this brush will allow airflow through the brush and get the drying done much faster because this brush grabs a lot more hair at one time. And even though this brush is lightweight and has wide openings, these are positives for blow drying, combing through wet hair, and having a great feeling brush go through your hair and against your hair. I love the price that they are asking for this brush. Very fair, perfect brush for so many reasons. Great stocking stuffer for anyone in the family.

It works on even super tangled wet hair :) It didn’t scratch my sensitive scalp. It detangled quickly without too much pulling (brushing damp hair is always going to pull a little!). It’s light and easy to use. The bristles are flexible enough that I don’t feel like I’m pounding on my head with every stroke of the brush. It’s made pretty neatly. I only see three issues with it. One is that the ends of the bristles have been coated unevenly. See photo. One only has a spot of pink coating and the one next to it isn’t coated at all. I took a star off for the bristle without coating. The second is that the bottom of the bristle, where the bristle has been folded in half to fit in the hole? Some of the end parts stick up a bit. It hasn’t happened with this brush yet, but in my experience when the end parts stick up like this, lint gets stuck to it and it’s really hard to clean off (especially if you use it with a hair dryer). There is a gap between the silver part at the top of the handle where my hair gets caught (see closeup). Nice! Comfortable :)

I'm comparing this brush to my standard Goody brush that I've had for many decades. The Dongxw brush is noticeably larger, more curved, and has more bristles than my Goody brush. With all this in mind, it should be able to flow through thick, luscious long hair with ease. However, the brush is made with extremely cheap and thin hollow soft molded plastic, like something you find at a dollar store. My Goody brush has survived many falls on the bathroom ceramic tiles over the years, and even though it states that it's indestructible, it has only lasted 30+ years ;) I'm not sure the Dongxw brush will make it through a big tangle without the plastic handle bending in half. It might even bounce if it falls on the floor and float if it falls into the tub.

Ok, not to be dramatic but I absolutely love this brush. Like it’s fantastic. The shape of it makes it very comfortable to use and allows you to brush all the way up against your scalp, which is so important if you have tangle prone hair. I have a ton of long thick hair and this slicks through it easily, wet or dry. It helps tame the frizz and helps define my waves. It’s just a really great brush. Because it’s not densely packed with bristles I found it easy to clean with just my sink sprayer and a quick disinfectant. It’s so comfortable to use and so effective. My new go to brush for every day.

Got this Dongxw detangling brush comb for my long hair, its always a struggle to brush in wet hair. You need a lot of patience to detangle and hold the brush at a certain angle. It does hurt a little if you touch the scalp, have to be very careful while using it if you have sensitive skin. Works best if your hair is straight, i had to struggle when i got my hair curled. Pros: Cleaning the brush is easy. Cons: The round brittles hurt a little if you are not careful.
