Excellent... coming from a somewhat audiophile person
Well.. let me tell u i am not a paid reviewer( u can acces my profile n fb n insta as i have uploaded pics of many earphines tht i have bought) NOR i have bought this from Amazon. I got it frm a bose store. I have 4 bose namely 2 soundtrues, 1 soundsport, 1 soundsport wireless n this one soundtrue ultra. Apart frm these i have senns 300x, street, creative 630, soundmagic es18, sony xb50, jbl 150. Denon ahc 260. Niw coming to high end or mid budget goe shure se215, senn momentum in ear, sony a1ap, klipsch r6i, RHA T10i n all boseOut of the above i enjoy music from bose ultra n RHA n also bose soundsport wired.Let me tell u fir bass freaks. I was also one f u a yr back n was never satisfied with any earphones fr bass. But never thought abt quality f music n vocals. These ultra babies r perfect. They let out the most balanced audio output that i have heard si far after the RHA.Mids- perfect. Little recessed but u wont notice. I m happy. U hear natural vocals.Bass- perfect too. Little bit bloated but could b due to the tips. But no regrets here as we all need some bass, isn't it?? It is though not overpowering n indeed u feel the presence as n wen u need. I have nderstood tht after a year tht its not only about bass.Treble or high range- superb. Like rha u hear all the instruments n many times u hear nuances tht u may not have heard before in ur music ir songs. While writing this review m listening to electronic music n maan such a crisper sound f drums guitars etcc. Super coolThe dynamic range is not tht wide but i bet u will njoy every kind f music.I have thus fr more tht a year but thought to write a review only now after seeing many negatives.I hve seen abt wires been corroded. But guys u have to take care of ur belongings. I have all the earphones intact n few f them are 2+ yrs n no problems whatsoever.Lastly bass lines lovers.... music is not all abt bass. The bassier earphones provide bass even n normal songs n ruin them. While they do justice to songs which has deep bass but still f u listen to balanced sound u will forget bass. Also the people who don't own these babies will definitely say tht they dont like it. M adding a pic f my ear phine collection. Its a yr back n rha n bise wireless need to b put inBTW- my next BABY IS BOSE QC20I. Its coming next weekHappy music n bosing

Jack of all trades but master of none.
Hi Everyone,Just got this product earlier this week and have been using it extensively. Here are my views:As I said in the heading, this is the first time I am using bose earphone, the other headphones i have owned and used:1) Sony MDR 70 EX - Cracker of a headphone. Really loud and superb bass. Lasted 3 years without any issues.2) Audio technica ATHM50X (over ear) - The god of all middle range headphones (according to me) , fantastic sound and comfortable. Still going strong 4+ years.3) Audio-Technica ATH-IM70 (IEM) - Really good headphones (dual drivers), fantastic soundstage and awesome bass. Just not that comfortable and suitable while being stationary. Good build quality and loud (rally loud). Wire broke after an year of usage but the wire was easily replaceable and got a replacement easily. My review will be based on my previous experiences.Pros------i) Very comfortable, you can wear it for hours without any issues, no pain in ears. Yes it creates a vacuum in the earcanal but while opening if you twist the earpod and turn it, it comes out very easily. Just do not tug it by the wires.ii) Soundstage is very good. The individual instruments are easily recognizable, all in all a very soothing sound. Voices are clear and instruments are recognizable.iii) The eartips stay in place... continuous fiddling is not needed, stays in place during walking as well. Haven't used it in gym yet.iv) All over sound is good, plug it to an iphone/ipod and done, you don't need to fiddle with any equalizers, gives a well balanced sound.v) Err... That's all folks.. I ran out of Pros.Cons-------i) The first thing which is apparent is it's build quality. The wires seems flimsy (compared to Sony MDRs and ATH it seems toyis). I am handling it very very gently , the wires seems very easily breakable. Not confidant enough to use in gym. Just in office and flights.ii) Overall volume is low. I am using in ipod and it runs on full volume. Since it provides good isolation the full volume is just enough, but truth to be told it keeps me wanting for more (few times I did reached out for the volume button to realize that it is already in full volume. Comparatively my IM70 provides same if not more volume in 50-60% range of ipod, can't go more than that !iii) The bass is on the lower side, but for me it's quiet enough (comparable to 70% of IM70). If you want BASS only go for Sony else Audio technicas.iv) The BOX ! what a joke !!!! The carry case provided by BOSE is pathetic, it is the size of a small creditcard and you will have to jam the earphones in (but trust me, if you jam your earphones in the wires will not last long). Just ordered a 2.5inch HDD carry case from amazon and the earphones sits comfortably in it now :-) .v) The T-shaped divider is very odd, I think the older Y shaped earphones were much better. All in all it is a good headphone, for the current price you can get it if you want to use BOSE once, but do not expect ears out of it. Main killers will be the wires (would have been fantastic if they were replaceable like the IM70s).Other recommendations----------------------------------Cheaper options:-------------------------Sony MDR XB70Audio technica ATM M35Expensive options--------------------Sure SE215 - Can not beat in terms of comfort/Clarity/Soundstage (my next earphones).Audio-Technica ATH-IM70 - Last year it was around 8000, now the price is almost double! In this price range it will not be worth it I believe.Jaybird - Have heard lots of good reviews, have not used personally.Well all the best. Do like the the review if it has helped you in anyway.

Very good audio and build quality
This is the first time I tried out a headphone in this range. Previously I have owned (still do) Sennheiser CX 275 S and have tried Sony headphones in the same range as the CX 275s. So, I will primarily comparing it to the CX 275s.Pros:1. The detail in the sound is very good and you can hear certain details that you couldn't hear in cheaper headphones. The mix is very well balanced.2. The buds are shaped in a way that makes them very comfortable for long hours of usage.3. The noise cancellation due to this is also quite good.3. It tends to tangle less than most other headphonesCons:1. As reported by some, the volume levels are lower than most other headphones. So, this is an issue when you are2. One of my colleagues in the office (who is a bit of an audiophile) felt that the bass output of this is not high enough for his taste. So, I think if you always like to have extra bass in your mix (like that from the Sony XB models) then you might not like this.3. The case/pouch provided with this feels slightly small, and whenever I put it back in I always get the feeling that I am bending some of the wires too much.

BOSE SOUNDTRUE
Decent headphones with good sturdy design and built. This is definitely not a noise cancelling/isolating device. Not for the ones who absolutely love to pick out every detail in a music. Good for the average mass but definitely overpriced. I have two more bose devices at my home but these ones are not even close to the quality of music they provide.
